  1. Kyle's Project 98 GT Saleen Replica/AutoX Build

Let me know if you want any specific pictures. I realized I haven't take many detail shots of the final product
  2. The momstangs rebuild

Damn that looks killer. You do some amazing work!
  3. Kyle's Project 98 GT Saleen Replica/AutoX Build

Finished product. I am pretty pleased with the end result. Autox is this weekend so I will be able to test it out and see if anything needs to be changed. I can upload more pics of the building process if anyone is interested. DSC_0572 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr DSC_0564 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr DSC_0559 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr

Thanks guys! Some progress has been made since my last update. I made it to 3 local autox's and the car has done great. The only thing holding me back is my cheap all season tires. Im planning to finish this season on them to get seat time and understand how to really drive the car and not rely on tires. The local CAM class is very competitive and is full of helpful people. Here are some pictures and a small video of my first event with the car. Untitled by Kyle Matson, on Flickr I also took off the s351 wing to do some cleaning and the rivnuts inserted in the wing decided to strip/spin so it probably wont be going back on..... So what do I decide to do? Build a custom autox/nascar style spoiler. Ive got my template made up and will be using 1/8" aluminum which should be ready to pick up on Monday. I need to order some support rods and figure out what kind of hing/bracket I will use to mount it to the trunk. 5. Pic request of wheel tire combo

Thanks guys The wheels were Konig SSM's. 18x9/18x10 And I agree that was the look I miss most of that car
  6. Couldnt find much info online about this so I decided to put together a little how to in case anyone else is looking to do this. The process is pretty simple and takes maybe 10-15 minutes. I picked mine up at CJ Pony parts: http://www.cjponyparts.com/antenna-delete-plate-black-plastic-cobra-r-style-1994-2004/p/HW3715/?year=2001&gclid=CjwKEAjwse7JBRCJ576SqoD7lCkSJABF-bKu8WYFBH2OqKCjpZDNawneflHNa4f43PeZ1PAwXTTZGhoC_Jnw_wcB Before: DSC_0477 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr Unscrew antenna from base DSC_0479 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr Use a flathead screw driver to pry up on the bezel. Place a towel underneath the screw driver to prevent scratching the fender. Work your way around the bezel gently prying up. I ended up having to break mine to get it off. Haven't updated this in a while so Ill just throw everything in here to catch everyone up. Im turning the car into a more autox/track oriented build so Ive spent some time working on the suspension and stripping weight. Still a lot to do! So when are the Works being thrown on it??
  11. Kyle's Project 98 GT Saleen Replica/AutoX Build

Haven't updated this in a while since Ive done a few things. I ordered a saleen decal kit and threw that on and just recently installed some bilstein racecraft shocks and struts along with some H&R super sports DSC_0281 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr DSC_0012 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr DSC_0028 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr DSC_0049 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr DSC_0054_1 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr

That would be awesome! I could cover shipping if it's just laying around Haha no sir I couldn't. Decided I'll save up and do coil overs over the winter instead of just settling on springs now Yeah I really need to. I need to grab a heat gun and try to warm it up a little. I've tried pulling it up by hand and it's pretty stiff Thanks man! Dropping it really helped out!
  13. Kyle's Project 98 GT Saleen Replica/AutoX Build

To all those saying to cut my springs... I caved in and did it. I'm going to do full MM coil overs over the winter so this is just to get me by until then. I took off 1.5 coils up front and a little over a coil in the rear DSC_0961 by Kyle Matson, on FlickrDSC_0959 by Kyle Matson, on FlickrDSC_0964 by Kyle Matson, on Flickr
  14. Lanter's rebuild of a '98 Cobra

It's awesome that he stood by his work and didn't make a fuss. It's hard to find that in businesses nowadays. Can't wait to see this thing together again and tearing up the streets
  15. Kyle's Project 98 GT Saleen Replica/AutoX Build

Thanks guys. I considered cutting the springs but I don't really want to tear it all apart just to do it all again in another month or so. I think a drop will really help it pull off the yellow cobra r's. I think I'm just going with sportlines for now and should be able to have them ordered by the beginning of Sept. Here is a quick little PS of my exterior end goals. I still can't decide if I want to go to OEM corner lights though.
