95riosnake
Anyone have any experience with this lens?http://www.amazon.com/Rokinon-FE8M-C-F3-5-Fisheye-Canon/dp/B002LTXQUEThinking about picking it up. I've wanted a decent fisheye lens for my Rebel T3 for a while and this seems to be the only budget priced one that looks like it's worth buying. It has a lot of good reviews. I know it's a manual lens but I think I'd be ok with that.

Det_Riot
Looking for any kind of advice input on my pictures as i'm a total newb when it comes to this. Camera is a Canon T3 with the kit 35-55mm lens. I shot these in Tv mode, First one was without a flash, then brightened it up in photoshop/lightroom and the second was with a flash, and just kinda adjusted colors to where I think it looks better. I have the originals if anyone wants to use them for instruction.http://www.flickr.com/photos/72286622@N08/8387563924/sizes/z/in/photostream/This one is called "Sadie where's the mail at??http://www.flickr.com/photos/72286622@N08/8387563764/sizes/z/in/photostream/ Edited January 16, 2013 by Det_Riot
M4Mustang
Looks good, to me. Only thing I would have done differently is I would have cropped the image in portrait. Also, look on YouTube for the rule of thirds.Other than that, I like it. M4Mustang
Badass pic man! What were the settings on your camera to get that effect? Or was it post production? The only post processing I did was a little cropping.I used a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 prime lens and, but the effect is called bokeh. You can learn more about it here: http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Learn-And-Explore/Article/h0ndz86v/bokeh-for-beginners.html Basically, it is achieved by opening the lens (lowest aperture, aka f-stop) as far as possible and letting the camera focus (whether manually or automatically) on the subject. Only certain areas will remain in focus, while blurring out the rest on its own.
Brian
Nice shot Ed. Love the bokeh! Focal point is perfect too. I'd be very happy to have taken this!
Brian
For beginning photographers, I would highly recommend reading "Getting started in digital photography" by Khara Plicanic. I've read a bunch of books and this one explains it very nicely.

blwnbyu
Well guys, that don't know, photography has become a hobby of mine since I only work about 7 months a year, and I get really bored lol.. I started out with just a Rebel XS, and later moved on to a 7D.. Nothing I own is super high end, but decent gear. I quickly became a fan of HDR's, but realistic looking ones, so the majority of my shots posted are HDR. I still don't shoot as much as I'd like to, but am building on a pretty nice collection.. Living in a ridiculously beautiful place also helps.. Guess I'll start with my car.. since this is a mustang website afterall...I was actually out shooting a sunset for this pic.. Then I turned around, looked at my car, and thought I have to shoot one lol.. Hence the bugs..But, I always enjoyed the perspective.. I used my 7D and a Sigma 10-20mm for this..cobra sunset by MattWhidden, on FlickrI think I've done 3 shoots on the roof of this garage so far until I was finally happy with a few shots.. This one is kinda HDR-ish, but I really liked it as well..Wide Shot by MattWhidden, on FlickrThis is WHY I love HDR..
