Eons for eons....

I take two steps forward, two steps back.... we come togetha cause op, posites, attract! Sorry it's been stuck in my head.

Anyways, more exciting news, Hurray! I filled all the fluids up and got everything squared away. Ran to the gas station, got fresh gas and filled up with 5 gallons. The first test was to prime the fuel pump to make sure all was well with the lines and fittings. Low and behold I had my dad turn the key and gas started to dribble, then flow nicely out of the top of the injector! Awesome! I had a funny feeling this was going to happen. Started to troubleshoot and figured out the rails were still a little too high and the injector slid down out of the rail some from the pressure, the seal was barely made. I had already modified the manifold once to accept these rails so to have to do it again is annoying lol. After that I took a break, ate some dinner and then started to break things down. Tried to pull the least amount of stuff off but the upper and lower definitely had to be removed. It's my own fault, I should of checked more thoroughly when I was installing. I ran out of sunlight so I'll wait until tomorrow to proceed.

Got it started but def will not idle. Threw a belt (power steering pulley came loose) so I'm headed to get another one. Needs more tinkering, aka a tune!

Yesterday and today were huge clean up days. I had tools and spare parts EVERYWHERE so I put shit in boxes, sealed them up, labeled them and started packing them into storage. Once that was done I decided now was a good time to put the headlights back in and re-seal the corner lights. Also had to move some gauges around to make room for the wideband and double dee radio thats been sitting in my room since, probably, 2011. Also was able to wipe down and clean up the outside some and got all the dust off the wheels and skirts.

wow...AMAZING!! the attention to detail on this build is stunning. I have a question about the hood. Thought I read the hood won't close? If the Cobra R style hood won't close, what one will work that won't look "over the top"??? keep up great work, and as always, we love pics and videos :D

Thank you very much!! I second Bryan and welcome you home esky! I'm going to go with another cobra r style hood but a little taller. I don't need much but the one I have now definitely won't work with the way it is setup now.

Thanks Gallows! I went with the Quarterhorse and Binary Editor software, actually just got it in the mail today. Keith (The MK2) is going to take care of the tuning process for me.

Best thing I ever did. My main reason was to have instructions and YouTube up for working on cars, but watching movies was a natural progression. My wife was cool enough to remind me/let me get a cable outlet in the garage at the new house so I can have full on TV out there.

I feel like this is what I'm shooting for. I spend so much time in there I might as well make it more comfortable lol!

OK so here's where we are at. Keith has been doing an excellent job in helping me get this thing running properly! Came to the conclusion that the MAF was not correct so for the time being he loaded me up with a tune to run the stock MAF for now. I had to rig up the old intake (which looks like an abortion) but I got it to fit, ordered a new 90MM LMAF today from Summit and should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. When I wrapped up for the night I went to put the car up and noticed a puddle of oil on the ground (great now what :facepal:). Traced it back to the oil pressure sending unit extension which I used some ARP sealant on that apparently doesn't work. I'll address that in the morning and just use teflon.

Lol nice!

I was out for the count basically all weekend, finally yesterday I was able to move around and went to run an event above NYC yesterday so today is potentially catch up day. The Lincoln decided to blow a coil Friday so that needs to be handled today as well as making sure this hood fits, which it does. I'm going to also try and get to the tuning stuff again today.
