You can also mark me down in the loving the brakes column, some silver Brembo decals would be a nice finishing touch on the calipers :2thumb:

I never thought of silver for some reason.  They definitely need some decals, they look too plain just by themselves

Yea most of the time you see white Brembo lettering but I think the silver would look better against the purple and would go well with the lips of your wheels :2thumb:

and then the rubber bushings were rusted and corroded to everything... with no penetrating oil or heat, had to call it a night.

such a pain in the ASS.  it would spin but could not get it to come out.  just heated the shit out of it until stuff started melting and it finally worked its way out.  you can see the difference between the side where the oil filter is on (where it annoyingly covers the rack when you pull the filter....) and the passenger side one.

then time to cut shit up!

536D71DE-76FC-4547-8ACF-9924DD920271_zps

and thats all i got.  installed them back into the car, used the solid bushings, (btw @95opal, the kit you sent was missing the spherical washers, everything seems to work fine tho) Night and day difference. cheap enough mod that everyone should do this, 170k on the chassis and the rubber bushings had never been changed.

It might be an older kit.  They didn't come with spherical washers.

Washers were added to the kit after complaints of rack noise/chatter when the bushings were installed.  This was due to manufacturing tolerances of the k-member to rack mounting points.

Hmm didnt think about possible revisions.  Either way, no binding in the rack that I could tell and no chattering, so we should be good!   :2thumb:

Nice you got no noise/bind.  What color were the bushings?

The kit with no washers puts the rack in a better position, moves it back improving ackerman angle.

the front bushing was like a deep deep blue/possibly black, and the rear was silver.

Hmmm, If I remember correctly when I was working at the shop the original MM bushings we installed at the time were all silver.

Anyway, sounds like you got it all squared away and workin!

Yea no problem, it was my bad.  The instructions i found for the install called for the spherical washers and I was so confused! haha. :)
