Honestly as long as I top the 95R at the wheels ill be happy

Lol, a HCI 302 will top the 95R power at the wheels wise. Did you go .030 over with this block too? Might as well have if you had it at the shop, if nothing else to make sure the bores are completely G2G. A mild 408 will make an easy 500 to the wheels on 93 octane and your biggest problem will be snapping stuff in the driveline till you upgrade that and also peeling the treads off most street tires. Might want to consider a stalled auto at that power level especially if is going to be setup to go fast in a straight line.

Fuck autotragics. The only thing I own that has one is my explorer. I've blown 8 autos.....and only one clutch

that sounds more like a user error than equipment failure. my 347 will be run through a 4r70w, and it will handle more power than your car and mine will make combined

7 of them were 700r4s, one was a 4r70w and it dropped over drive. Not so upset about the 4R70, just don't want to deal with autos anymore. Sorry for the outburst, just a lot of latent anger left from dealing with them lol

Understandable but a properly built auto will handle the power MUCH better than a manual will, no issues with the clutch you'll come off the line like a banshee and you'll never miss a shift. Install a manual valve body if you like to keep banging gears lol. Then again, some ppl just like manuals better and (my opinion only) a manual is fine until about the 600hp range if you aren't a dedicated dragster or care about all out straight line speed.

The 95R did not put out to much more then 250 at the wheels and 320ish TQ. Truck lower, cobra upper and GT40 heads. Basically 302 parts thrown on a 351. Mines making over 100 more RWHP then it was w/ that set up. And that's not to radical of a combo thrown on it, just nice healthy parts that are meant more for a 351 then a 302

Trying to pick heads and cam I don't have a lot of money to play with right now, and I've still got the nickel and dime stuff to get. Everyone has a different opinion on what heads, cam, and injectors. And looking at flowtecs site I don't have the money for a heads and cam package. The big things are I want aluminum heads and to enjoy the swapped car this year/ summer, even if I have to swap H/C/I down the road

Does the car run right now on the old motor? If so, just take your time building this motor. Take the time to save money and put what you want into it. As much as you don't think so, nothing is more obnoxious than changing a combo and having your car down for even more time when you should be enjoying it. Save up for the parts the first time so you don't have to take it down later.

putting lower budget stuff on the 351 now wont get you anymore ahead of where you are now w/ a 302 ( unless its 100% stock ) 302 parts = 302 power. If you cant use your current engine then search for used heads and an intake.
