GT500 rotors and s197 GT caliper upgrade for SN95

Recommended Posts

As some of you know I run a 14in Gt500 rotor and 05+ Gt caliper brake setup on my 95 Gt. I got the setup from a unfinished project cat I bought and sold last year. Turns out the bracket to run this setup was a one off piece that the pervious owner had made, a lot of people have shown interest and im thinking of having them reproduced and selling them. I'm taking to my tuner who has a CNC to see how much it would cost to make these , he also wants to know how much interest there is in these brackets. They only fit 18in wheels and up and im also trying to see if this bracket will work with the brembo 4 piston gt500 caliper.

Let me know if your interested so I can figure out pricing.

this is what I wanted but vintage venom fails and they stopped selling. what's all needed to make it work? Reason I ask is because the VV kit required a spacer for correct rotor/caliper alignment...

new rears would be a must too! and definitely would only upgrade to a gt500 kit personally.

All that's needed is 14in rotors, 05+ GT calipers and at least for me a brake line adapter, the  calipers I got had steel braided lines and I need a reducer.

I've had them on my car for over a year and i DD and  autox my car. The only spacer I have is a washer between the custom bracket and the caliper bracket for better clearance.

info that i needed, thanks a ton

as for having them machined, id take them to a real machine shop. chances are good they will be cheaper then any automotive shop that just happens to have a cnc. and youll get a real machinist behind it.

Greetings OP-Did you ever decide to get those brackets made, or have any measurements? I'm about to do the same setup on my car. The only adapter brackets I've seen require a spacer behind the rotor and I'm not a fan. I'm a fabricator, so if you haven't decided to start making those brackets for sale I may take a swing at it. I think you were right to assume there is a market for them.

@Steve-Oh Thanks! I don't forum all that often, so I appreciate the help.

No worries, he doesn't get on here much so he may not see this unless a notification is sent over.
