Dalamar's 2013 RAPTOR

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, hope you're all having a great holiday,

I FIINNAAAALLLY got some time to work on the truck, here's a few pics:

My shocks were blown out, so I upgraded to the 3" FOX calibrated swap out.

I'm pretty happy with the parts, and the ride is noticeably better  :)

The dampening is pre-set and is adjustable.

Both have remote reservoirs and there is move valving on the piston for better control and heat dissipation.
Apparently you're supposed to rebuild the factory FOX shocks betweek 35-40K miles... i'm at 80.

Some of you may know my rule, if it needs to be replaced, UPGRADE BABY!

Ride height is 3/4" higher in the front, 1.2" higher in the rear, also adjustable.

Fun fact I wasn't aware of, the 6.2 has two plugs per CYL.

These long tubes are going on.

with the top of the motor off, you can lift it up and get them in without removing the K or pulling the whole motor.

Then the rest of the blower kit goes on.

Shipped out the PCM to Whipple today as well.

I want to get a set of these, haven't found one in stock yet.   If anyone knows where to look, please let me know :)

YESSSSSSS! The foxes looked like a huge upgrade over the factories! I had no idea about the need to be rebuilt, that's kind of crazy! For sure that's a stock GT500 twin blade. You should definitely upgrade to the Ford Racing Monoblade =D

Hmmmm, that's a good point, i'll check on that Det Riot!

We just found a real nice condition polished one for 300 bucks that we got for my buddy's CJ swap on his 18. I searched gt500 classified pages on fb and there's some deals to be had!

So you did long tubes and left the factory exhaust behind them?!?!  😆

Yea man, I like how the stock muffler (and resonator) sounds, good tone, not too loud.  going to try it out.

can always do a cat back later.  🐈

Thanks Yeahloh :)

little progress.

Been looking for a few parts.

Larger PS reservoir, bought online 3x and recieved emails 3x stating it is no longer available....

This is a EcoBoost Rad, supposed to be able to fit, will know here soon.

Also, can't find those Ford Racing blue valve covers anywhere, so these are in for plasti-dip

we're probably going to fab a larger PS res, the issues with stock tank is the fluid gets too hot, and doesn't de-gas before re-circulation, needs more capacity.

causes a jittery feel in the wheel, which my truck does do sometimes.  Ford says it's within spec...   👎

We're on step 105 of 203!....

Any particular reason you kept the factory catback? Just curious.

Mainly Sound Dan, The sound of the stock muffler with the stock resonator is about perfect.  good tone, no drone, not too loud.

I can always bolt on a cat-back at a later date ;)  ...probably a dual muffler style to keep it dual piped to the end.

It kinda is Jer!

I've been snooping around the Raptor forums and am going to add a few things to this mod.

With the added Torque, wheel hop is an issue.

Ordering the Rogue Racing traction bars and bump stop kit, will be a good mod, they're 1-2 months out on fab....

so it's gonna be a garage project!
