Temp guage

start simple and check the connection on the sensor.  Not sure if we are talking 4.6 or 5.0 on the 5.0 the dash sender is on the top of the motor/lower intake.  If it looks good on the connection side then its easy enough to swap out the sender.

Found it. Last 2 connections on the printed circuit board on back of cluster on both were touching causing my temp and fuel guage issue. Separated connections and both gauges work now. Hope this helps if anyone has that issue. On the side for the black connector that is

While the cluster is out I would test the stepper motors with a 9v battery. Doing this I found out some of my needles weren't positioned correctly after someone installed a gauge overlay. Takes 5 minutes to do and you'll have peace of mind knowing all your needles are reading correctly :)
