Blackmage
whats your recommendation for a new flywheel behind a relatively stock 4v that sees a ton of daily driving?
GTTRacing91PGT
I installed a McLeod Lightened Steel Flywheel along with a McLeod clutch and I am very satisfied. It is very driveable. https://www.americanmuscle.com/mcleod-steel-flywheel-8bolt.html That's the one I went with. Would recommend it,
Prokiller
can't comment on it being a 4v, but i have a fidanza flywheel and it's been nice. even replaced the friction surface so no complaints there.
Blackmage
went with a new spec clutch and spec aluminum flywheel. had really good luck with all my spec stuff, even with the minor chattering issues for the first thousand or so miles. might as well stick with it.
Steve-Oh
I have an Aluminum FRPP flywheel in mine with a Centerforce DF clutch and I like it a lot. No issues thus far.
Blackmage
have maybe 30-40 miles on the new clutch and flywheel. dont really notice much of a difference going from the steel to aluminum flywheel driving wise. not sure why everyone on the interballs thinks theyre bad for daily driving. loving it so far! White95
We went with the Exedy billet flywheel [and Exedy 500 clutch] behind the blown 3V and it seems to work quite well. https://lmr.com/item/EXD-EF503/Exedy-Lightweight-Billet-Chromoly-Flywheel-Mustang-96-10
Dkblue98gt
I have the same flywheel and clutch as White95 on my 97. I went with the 11" clutch and it has excellent street manners. 1
