  1. I am on the fence. I just saw that 50resto.com is selling a LED conversion that looks like it is a plug n play setup, except they note that 99-04 require some trimming. I would like to upgrade my headlights from phillips bulbs to either LED or HID. here is the link to the LED lights.... http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/LRS-9007LED/Mustang-Headlight-LED-Bulb-Kit-94-04%C2'> . anyone out there that can "shine some light" on this topic??????

I am south of san jose...but other than that I haven't heard of anyone else...really sucks
  3. hello everyone. Gots me a question. I have a 96 GT that was missing the stut tower brace. a friend gave me a brace from his 95 Cobra. looks like this might work, a little tight on the factory air intake tube, but the problem is the bolts. I am running Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates. when i try to install the bolt the factory washers on the bolts are too wide and hit the cc plates. does anyone know the bolt size or what i should do? really want to run the brace.thanks for any help!
  4. what up guys. I'm out here in sunny Cali...wondering if anyone else is going to Buttonwillow raceway park THIS weekend for the NASA event. There is all classes including NASA CMC (camaro mustang challenge) and American Iron. very fun to watch or get on the track with HPDE. I will be taking tons of pics.
  5. ok...so update on my 96 GT throttle sticking issue. tried lubing up throttle cable, checked for any binding, cleaned throttle body, and then tried adjusting throttle stop...no luck. so my dad asked if disconnecting cruise control cable helped. Well it did. Never heard of that happening but for the time being no cruise control...but throttle stick is GONE!!!! was bugging the shit out of me. thanks for the suggestions guys. this forum kicks ass
  6. yeah...went there once to look at shop. Sure wish their website was a little better...be nice to see some GR40 equipped SN95s. The Fenders on that GR40 Cobra Conv are amazing!
  7. i will try to grab some pics...have camera ready for drive home tonight...feel like a stalker! I live in watsonville CA...near monterey (think Laguna Seca Raceway)...anyone else out in CA??? hope someone else has seen this car....thought i saw a GR40 logo on it....so it had some work done in bay area.
  8. yeah car i saw had "stock" appearing fenders...but think you guys must be right...fender rolling tool time involved. Coming home from work again tonight i saw it but it was two car ahead of me...but it did have center exhaust...not sure i liked it, different though.
  9. interesting idea...but by cutting that bracket off, won't I be weakening that support area??? Also took car to a exhaust shop near where i live and they had a 2001 GT in the shop a year or so ago with major fitment issues with a SLP x-pipe too. so guess i will have it cut up and roll with that for awhile until I find another setup. really want a side exit system...bought a Borla side exhaust but it is pretty rough plus it has roush tips on it...so not sure....plus i want subframe connectors...lol
  10. i was on my way home from work last night and saw a very modded 94-95 GT. I really didnt get a long time to look, it was about to leave the gas station...so i took a quick peek. things i noticed was a T1 spoiler (only seen a few before), volk te-37 looking wheels with nitto nt555 315/35/17" tires UP FRONT!!!! how is that possible? swear i am not on crack....didnt have time to take picture...please someone ever see a setup like this????????
  11. love the hood stripe treatment...wish i did that to my dad's 03 Mach 1 while he still had it. I will be watching the project very close!!! keep the pics coming!!!
  12. yeah i called slp and checked. slp was really helpful. but in the end they said every car is different so a little modification is required. plus because i did the install myself, not shop...i was to blame......bummer. i think i will try another shop and see if i can get a quote. really hard to find an honest good shop, but i will keep looking. thanks 95riosnake...by the way...think i am in love with your car. I really liked how the o2 ports on the SLP are moved to better locations and SOOO much easier to install than the factory H-pipe. Its just weird that no one else has heard of fitment issues, or maybe they dont mind as much I do about fitment.
  13. Okay guys and gals...need some advice/help.support. I like many other mustangs nuts went out and bought an x-pipe for my 1996 GT 5speed. Sounds good right? well i live in california so i got stuck having to buy a set with cats, sure a little more expensive but thats okay, I saved up and chose to buy the SLP X-pipe. I am so bummed out. The part really really doesnt fit my car. Loved the exhaust note, but the fitment is very poor. I cant have the pipes flush with car because it doesnt even fit through the crossmember. so it had to hang down. I was scrapping so much that i gave up and put the stock one on. Any advice? I thought of taking it to a shop and letting them hack it up to try and fit, but a shop owner said it would be a lot of work and prob end up paying the full price of x-pipe just fixing it. Am i the only one with this prob? Is it worth fixing it? Buy another brand? No matter what i read on sites like American muscle or whatnot it is 50/50 if x-pipes fit. Almost want to try UPR....but haven't heard too much. Sorry for the long write up....just fustrated and want my 96 to purrr again.
  14. Thanks I will have to give that a shot tomorrow morning! Love this forum
  15. if i remember right, the car has the professional products 75mm throttle body. i am sorry, what do you mean by "Try opening the blades a little with the throttle stop". thanks for writing back 01yellercobra. Funny i have talked to a few people from various forums and they said its prob the poor casting...hope that isn't the case. i know it isn't as high-end as some of the other TBs, but i got it for less than 100 bucks including the matching intake plenum.
