So what did you do with your old lt? I'm lookin a set

Brought to you by Pornhub

Sorry I'm not really sure what you mean here. Are you asking what I did with the old hood?

I had a lunch meeting today (that I forgot about, standard) so I didn't get to working on anything until late..... Went to go start the car and it cranked very minimal and then it kindof died. I thought it was the battery so I threw the charger on it. Tried to start it again and still the same thing.... WTF?!?! Did some digging around to see what the problem was. I shined the flashlight onto the balancer and found it had what looked like discolored marks on it. I grabbed a mirror and looked up from underneath to see the bottom of the pump is resting on top of the balancer. Was so frustrating that I just about threw the flashlight to the moon. Back off goes the water pump and ground down the housing for clearance. Rinsed everything off and set it to dry overnight. Back at it again in the AM.

Lol I thought he was saying "so what did you do with your old <it>". Was so confused.

Anyways... I had the long tubes up for sale, pretty much for a full year. They got left outside on a table behind my shed last spring and I'm sure they're rusted to shit by now since we've had all this rain.

My plan was to have them ceramic coated and then sell them for more then I had originally planned lol. Just haven't had time / forgot about them.

But yeah just walked back there now and this is what they look like:

Easy day with a sandblaster

Tapatalk made me do it!

Yup pretty much! I should probably at least put them inside, out of the weather. I'm sure many an insect have created homes inside them lol, not looking forward to that.

So excited to see this at Mustang Week. Sounds good man. Love the build.

MW is gonna be sweet! Can't wait to cruise around, be a bum on the beach and meet everyone!

So small little update.I'm gonna be ghetto and bolt the PS steering pump pulley on for now until I can get a new pulley, I'll paint it black so you won't even see it. The car was also running way hotter then I wanted it to and considering the only thing I didn't change on the car was the radiator I took a little ride out to Malvern, PA and picked this up:

I've heard mixed reviews about these pieces so I browsed around a little. They opened up a new facility in Delaware not too long ago that looks pretty state of the art. I then saw that they might have developed a solution to their leaking issues by suspending the rad in the brackets rather then having solid mounts attached directly to the rad. Then I saw it has a lifetime warranty, so that along with the fact I could pick it up same day is why I decided to get one.

I changed it out rather quickly (45 minutes max) but ran out of day light to go out and drive it so I'll do it tomorrow to see if I get any cooler temps. I can't see why It won't because when I went to dump out the remainder of what was in the old rad all this dirty mucky water came sludging out, plus the fact this is a much bigger rad. We shall see, at least it looks pretty awesome!

Depending on weather, you may see it tomorrow if you're there! ... But lets be honest, it's not looking good lol. :rain: I think I'll still end up there, probably just steal the '11.

i was so waiting for you to punch it during that ride along vid, i feel a little let down lol

Yeah I know I know. I'm sure there will be plenty of footage from Myrtle!

Funny how Steve-Oh has a "picky 94-95 ecm" with a large cod stroker... And doesn't seem to have a hanging idle issue.

Weird how that works

:shifty:

Real strange... Could have something to do with the tuner! :drinktothat:

Mishy rad worked great! Temps are way down. I didn't have the computer hooked up but the gauge was reading about 190*-205*. It was ultra hot today also and it wasn't budging. Good stuff! Also I did find a leak, nothing major just a little coolant seeping from around my coolant mod. I should of got another turn on it and used more teflon. I'll clean it up and silly cone it tomorrow as a temp fix for now until after Myrtle.

Just got this pic from my buddy. Underside still needs to be finished, he'll be done tonight.

Also my dad was kind enough to pull this out of the depths of his backyard. Might need to be cleaned off lol...

Steve. you need to get that wideband datalogging working. you need to set the transfer function up. I will have some time in the coming nights to review logs. so LMK

He should have plenty of data logging for the week as I can imagine he'll be driving his car everywhere

So 4am leaving time was real optimistic... I was at my buddies this morning at 12:00am putting the hood on and then got a migraine (figures) which forced me to have to sleep longer then I wanted. See everyone later tonight!

yah, and? did it work?

Yup worked like a champ. Cut about 1/2"-3/4" off the rad side of the hose. Drove it to a cars and coffee this morning around the corner from me and no signs of rubbing. This is how it sits now:

holy crap. that sucks it had to be shooting right into the alternator.

Yes it was shooting directly into it lol. So far no signs of voltage issues, cross my fingers I don't have to buy a new one.:mmph:
