The almighty EPIC engine bay thread

Recommended Posts

I think I've seen that white Jetta or whatever before. The epic tucked one. Or else there is another white one just like it around here. I freaking love that twin turbo'd sr20 too. And the last one! That dude is on driftlive.com. 900+ hp turbo'd MMR engine. He lives in Europe and moved a few countries away to drift with another guy that drifts a fox body. Team Pony Drift.

Yea that pic was from their coverage of Gatebil, which if it wasn't so far away, I would love to attend just once. "Mental" can pretty much describe every car that comes to that event :hail:

1975 Toyota Corolla with wide fender flares and a supercharger sticking out of the hood

The car features a 4.0-liter Lexus V8 engine with an Eaton M112 Supercharger from an 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra perched on top. He had to fabricate a custom intake manifold for this, but with his skill it wasn’t too big of a task. The car features a T56 transmission out of a Camaro, and a custom-made bell housing... in order to mate to the engine. Out back, power is transferred through a Lexus SC400 rear end with a Supra Turbo Torsen differential. The front suspension is also from a Lexus SC400 with custom QA1 coil-overs. Stopping power comes via stock Lexus SC400 calipers mated to a Tilton master-cylinder, which should be plenty to stop this very light car. Out front it sports 17×9 wheels while out back are a pair of 18x10s

I remember seeing this car featured somewhere online and I think it's badass. I looked up videos of it and it sounded kind of like ass though, but I think that's just because of a bad choice in the exhaust setup lol.

I want to do a wire tuck so badly when I pull the motor. I just have NO clue how to do it and wiring really intimidates me for some reason. I would love to have a porno engine bay!

Here's my invision of tucking a bay:

Remove bumper hood and fenders. Take everything off the inner fenders on the engine side and put it on the fender side. If it doesn't fit, extend wires.

Then smooth smooth smooth smooth and smooth some more
