Sweet!

But what are you going to do with the "B" intakes now?

I have one sold and I’m going to use the short runner intake for the foreseeable future. The b head engine will be dropped in as-is until I can have the terminator stuff turn key.

unless my ADD kicks in, right Will?

How’s this sound @RedTwilight?

Proposed new combo:

Mach 1 Intake/stock TB/JLT/card MAS

BBK long tubes

Diamond pistons (flat top, 10.9:1)

2003 Cobra heads/stock cams

Boss rods

Forged 96 Cobra crank

Teksid block

Appropriate windage tray

Boundary oil pump/billet gears

Worth noting?

Off road x/bassani catback

Billet flywheel

I like it!  Nice list. :drink_to_that:  So be a nice little build.

Is this still temporary until the Eaton swap?  Will the Eaton swap be temporary until the Coyote swap?  LOL:P

You decided not to use the intake cams from the "B" heads?

What windage tray are you thinking of using?  I'm planning to use the GT500 windage tray myself.

Aluminum flywheel?  11" or 10.5"?  I've been running an 11" with a Fidanza alum. flywheel and really like it.

Go ahead and add a head cooling mod too.  Will definitely be worth it since you plan on tracking the car.

This is in fact temporary until the Eaton swap happens which is why it’ll be 10.9:1. This officially puts the Coyote idea in the shelf indefinitely.

I’m giving William the heads with cams for a 5.4 project he’s brewing. I believe that the GT500 windage tray will work with minor trimming to clear the oil pickup?

10.5” clutch for now..

I do have the head cooling mod in place 👌🏻

Yeah the GT500 windage tray only requires a little trimming for the pickup tube.  It's nice because it also includes the pan gasket all in one piece.

The Exedy lightweight flywheel would allow you to use a 10.5 or 11 inch clutch.

I've got the Fidanza flywheel and it too allows both 10.5" and 11" clutches.   There are probably others as well.

+1 for fidanza.  granted mines on a silly pushrod, but its a very nice piece.  i've even switched out the friction surface already.

Ha.. Well, some of the time I miss my silly pushrod engine..

See, I knew buying those C heads was a good move:

The fun continues

Apparently there was a leaking head gasket:

Swapped the doors with Space Ghost:

Also, removed the spindles to have the tie rod mounting holes bored out to 5/8" for the MM bolt on, bump steer kit

@LWARRIOR1016 painstakingly cleaned a clean engine block LOL

Seems like I recall saying I wouldn't have another engine built, period. No way, no how..

What did you have to do to the spindles??

Had to punch the tie rod end hole out to 5/8” to accommodate the bump steer kit.

Once the latest round of parts on order ship, I’ll just lack the Diamond pistons to assemble the short block. Can’t wait to hear this thing run again and see how different it feels with 129 fewer cubic inches.

Going to drop off the Intake, cam covers, idler bridge and timing cover off to be painted by a local friend. I’m torn between graphite or black.

I want something that looks all business like this:
