CompOrangeSN95 Posted June 30, 2013 Report Share Posted June 30, 2013 We finally finished the rear suspension on the Daytona a few weeks ago. We will be changing the brakes and installing a fuel cell in the future since we plan on using the car for TT and Hill Climbs. Also, a quick pic of the engine that we got for it. It's a 289 hi-po out of a '66 shelby. The guy was into racing and claims it has larger valves but we aren't pulling the heads to check. Anyway, thought you guys would get a kick out of it. When you have the car together you should mount a GoPro pointing at the bell crank while the car is racing. Got it painted last week. It's dark moss green with a heavy metal flake and toned down white with some pearl thrown in. A couple of you fellas made me realize how much I miss this place last night.
