Tried to hole saw threw crush spot on car, didn't work. Sawzaw and grinder worked flawless but not round. So made rectangle post-584-13881839082807_thumb.jpg

Lookin good man! And yea notching the bumper support brackets seemed like the best way to get the intercooler tucked back nice and tight against the radiator on mine, looks like you're going the same route! :thumb:

Yeah it almost ripped my arm off hole sawing one side lol so the sawzaw got the nod for ease of use and saving my hands ha. My lower rad support and bumper were going to go tubular but I decided against it for ease of doing the job. Ill post more pics today of intercooler mounting. The tabs on a pro charger intercooler are all pretty much useless accept the top one

this is how mine is done . sorry not trying to thread jack. i got rid of the front bumper support. it was a hindrance to installing my procharger I/c.

img0114qu.jpg

i have since swapped 2.5" piping to 3" diameter piping.

The only reason I didn't go that route was because I needed to go get piping and I kind of wanted to finish the project quick. How's the bumper do without the foam support. I felt it was kind of long and heavy just to rely on the small screws with no support.

While car was apart, I figured I would take advantage of my new lift. So I decided to paint the whole bottom of the car vermillion red. So I spent the time And took out the rear to paint that black as well. Here's some completed pictures of bottom

On a side note we put team z cobra jet control arms on my brothers 2011 gt. car has 11k and never been in rain, ford ships out the rear ends raw so that thing is totally rusted

I couldn't believe it!

So I did a few things today. I built the rear with moser 31 spline axles, eaton posi diff and kept my Richmand 373s. Then I put the team z strip upper control arm kit which is very neat looking then I topped it off with my girdled diff cover. Then installed everything in the car

Looks like a monster! Nice work so far. I see a lot of cars on here with the Y2k Cobra Rs, yet I can't find some in decent shape in the sizes I want....Killin me..Sorry for the rant.

:brick:

Yeah, they only make y2k in 18x9, hence why I don't have them anymore lol need a fat rear tire for 600+ wheel

:chirp: Good point. Don't care what tire you put on it, not going to hold with that much power at the wheel lol

Lol yeahhh.. Even when I had the y2k I had nt555s 285/35 and it would hold a second gear roll above 70 degrees but smash it in first and grab second would burn out all the way up the road. That was with 401 wheel 408 ft lbs

Rolocut, duffy lives in massivechewshits. hence the neighbor

and you should totally get some y2ks and have them widened

I nearly did, but the rims would be even heavier then they are now and I got prices from a few shops and they were less then pleased to do them on my replica wheels because they are cast, to find an original ford set, then buy a fifth one to cut to make then get chromed because ford y2ks are silver, was going to be like 2k. So I sold mine with tires for 1300 and got these enkei which is also different but very light and I love them!

Love it man! The underbody looks awesome and the intercooler setup looks like it's coming along nicely :thumb:

Thanks man. On vaca this week so I went to town over the weekend and got a ton of stuff done. Just gotta run my fuel lines again tomorrow and hook up e brake cables because I painted the e brake cable mounts that go to sway bar so they look pretty. I think I may have an issue mounting bumper up front my intercooler is dangerously close to one of the upper mounts on drivers side. Haven't put back on because I gotta make piping but can't do that till I got a motor back in the car and have the new elbow mounted up. I got some 1/8th inch thick aluminum sheets from my buddy at his work so I can make piping mounts and a new elbow thick enough to handle boost. My old one was .060 thickness and flexed at wot, you could see it sucking in on the dyno n/a
