What/where are you going to put your vac tree? getting my car back today and will be plotting the engine bay out now.

What's a vac tree?

The spot the main vac line ran into and then split it out to all the other small areas?

I don't have any of that. I'm hydro boost and I will have 1/4 inch aluminum bungs welded in custom elbow with push to connect lines to connect to fuel pressure regulator wastegate and blow off and meth. I don't use vacuum trees or reg vacuum lines just because with boost they can blow off or suck closed

That fancy contraption is big money lol. It def works though because when I tried to take it off to polish it with belt tensioned it wouldn't come off and when I took tension off the belt it slid right off. Def a nice looking functional way to save blower and crank bearings while being able to crank the belt tight

That's fine big money is ok in my books , when it can save you big money down the line

Exactly. After all the issues I had last season I wasn't taking any precautions

Yea I seen it's 600 with hardware ... Which I think is fair and necessary when spinning a blower at high psi

Yeah, price went up a little bit but that's about right

Yea I just found a old thread when they came out and based my guess price off that . I figure with a big cog drive and 15lbs it's good added insurance on my part not to mentions I like shiny engine shit

Hahaha... Agreed.. But they don't come shiny.. I spent a few 5 hours sanding smooth and polishing it

Rolocut,

Do you drive much on the street with this setup?  If you have, have you gone through any bearings in the brace?  Just curios.

I have modified 1st gen Kurgan Brace on my Windsor YSi setup. I did the brace because I was getting bracket flex with a YSi in the standard 94-95 bracket and I didn't want to go the route of fox acc. and timing cover to run Renegade brackets. I haven't blown through any bearings yet but have a few extras just in case.

I also don't put many miles on the car.  But the miles I do are all street miles with a manual. So lots of abrupt RPM changes.

As you said, it does work. My before and after data logs confirm that.

Yeah, this is only a street car, I never had any issue with bearings yet, only 800 mi on set up. Mine of course in an auto. I didnt even try it without it. I just know the pulley set up i use is agressive and i need the tightest belt possible to prevent slip.

Very cool.  Car and motor setup look great.
