SniveTroll
i just ordered from RockAuto a set of front OEM shocks for this bucket. Combined was cheaper than 1 shock from Ford themselves. i think the front end should get some pivot and radius arm bushings soon.

SniveTroll
Today i went to the yards and found a 95 E-van with a 351. I snatched the whole vacuum harness. A little plastic cleaner will go a long way.

SniveTroll
This weekend i drove it around for a day and im impressed with the progress. 2 things struck me. I dont like the stock NOS shocks. They bind noisey a little too much. I also did not like the dumped magnaflow. So.. Makingyour own exhaust is fun. SniveTroll
i dumped the dump today. its mellowed out. im going back to checking some plugs this weekend as well. i'll regap them while i can. i never gapped them when i left new jersey. SniveTroll
i regapped the plugs to .50 from .44... i noticed plug #4 completely finger loose. the sewing machine quiet down some but im looking into possibly re-freshening the 351. im simply not happy with the way this thing tugs along. also, i need a new EGR. the EGR sensor works. the valve is stuck. 95riosnake
How much of a freshening are we talking? Top end or full rebuild?
SniveTroll
Full refreshening. Im looking for a roller block, oil pump and gt40 heads. I hope to reuse everything else. No need to spend a buttload. Oh and new egr valve.

SniveTroll
i ran across a jasper 351 roller on FB for 700 with 86k. i know thats a deal but i really dont want to spend that much at once for an engine. ill scour the yards next week for a roller block.
95riosnake
I'm not sure that 86k is really that fresh either, I'd personally rather have something with 0 miles.
Moderators Psychorugby Posted May 28, 2015 Moderators Report Share Posted May 28, 2015 Craigslist... I got my roller block for $150. It came from a 96 Bronco with 50k miles on it; there's still crosshatching in the cylinders. He started at $300, but by the time I got there, he had sold the intake and told me the new price was $150. The heads and other shit got me about $50 back in scrap metal.
