My quest to drop 1 second on my ET in the 1/4

Recommended Posts

Not that you need to be told... the ones with the isolaters go in the front, and the bag goes in the right rear.

The hose and the bulkhead fitting should be long enough for you to run it into the wheel well sheet metal behind the right rear tire... which makes it easy to inflate/deflate. I had best results around 12psi.

Ok.. Lots to update lol..

Kinda splurged a tad..

Well.. The stock gauges were crap, so I opted for all new auto meters..

Speedo I decided to not even try to fool with all this programming mumbo jumbo.. So I purchased a GPS speed sender instead

307b1bee8172b51ebd06073bc633a9fe.jpg

Picked up a Stewart Warner 5" tach cheap,as well as the UPR tach mount for it

e9024bf64b76a3dc03bdaca58d698f20.jpg

,grabbed a B&M ratchet hammer shifter, and opted to not use the T handle(ugly imo).. And grabbed the prostick shift ball instead

The reason for the shifter is for a later upgrade and the use of a manual valvebody(that's where the tach and shifter come in to play, thinking ahead)

Also picked up a set of motive axles/w bearings and seals

While I'm at it I'm reinforcing the torque boxes

10" 3200 stall converter,

0e2d95b1462083603bd9e02037b62279.jpg

And finally a new set of drag radials once these die out(few passes left)

b7c90d18495d44a5ec1ebb64ad7ab82d.jpg

Took my spare speedo and started some fiberglass work, got my gauge placement.. Now waiting for speedo to get it drilled for placement, and final filler and some paint or CF m3 vinyl wrap(don't know yet)

That's what's up so far lol.. Sorry didn't update sooner, works been killing me..

Oh and got the rear springs installed and ready, line for airbag plumbed.. Good to go thus far. fronts will be a bitch lol ..

I sure will.. @Zach. .. I finally took it out today, all works great except I need to adjust the shifter cable more, won't let me ratchet down to L1.. And still gotta hook up the coolant temp and oil pressure senders.. Other than that.. Golden!!

Well, went to my buddy's to help him with his car(swap trans, etc.) so we decided to start on my converter swap..

I know a lot of you won't agree.. But his car is on low boost and seriously insane lol

Well took it out, dropped the phone so couldn't really get a descent video, but just flashing the converter real fast from a stop.. Huge difference!!, and with the previous valve body changes I made they only helped bring the converter to life!!

Well, the front pump seal/torque converter seal went to shit, so I'm pulling the trans and swapping it.. Hopefully it'll be back and running this weekend.. And hoping to get some track time in here within a few weeks to see if this all helped!

Trans is out, spun the trans pump bushing onto the converter.. Gives me reason to swap some 4r70 stuff in..

The magic nearing completion now..

How not to spin a trans pump bushing in the pump itself!!

Should be ready for reinstall by tomorrow, I'd like to have it mated back up by then anyway
