stowahstang
http://www.sn95source.com/index.php?/topic/4822-Welcome-To-SN95Source.com:-Brandon-StThe car as I got it. 2nd time around. Had a 393 stroker with brodix track 1 heads 1st time around then had to sell it all. Now was able to buy the car back at a steal but the motor I haven't been able to get back as of yet. So found a 1994 5.0 to be a donor car. The 5.0Donor car gutted. Fun to take apart and not worry about putting back together.Motor all stripped down. stowahstang
Another donor v6 car. Stole the oem cobra hood, drivers door and fender.Played with VHT wrinkle paint on valve covers. stowahstang
Got a little side tracked. Kids baseball. Wouldn't miss it for anything. So the last few weeks it's been in body work and paint mode. Not my favorite. before with old door fender and rear quarter ready to block out and wet sandready for wet sand buff and polish back together what the hell. Let's paint the rest. Since I LOVE paint and body work. NOT! !! Worth it though. now for a little bumper repair. Still no V8 in yet. Its the plan for the winter, in between kids hockey and ice fishing. stowahstang
5.0 is in a 1996 for good. No major mods needed just bolted in. V6 fuel lines are different, power steering return line needs minor mods, AC lines from a 5.0 car are needed. Swap out the computer harness in the dash. stowahstang
Got a bad driveline vibration at highway speeds. Need to check the pinion angle and tail shaft bushing. I'm going to guess bushing because the v6 was fine.

stowahstang
New headlights and sidemarkers, installed a new tail housing bushing that helped the vibration issue. So far so good, put on 60 miles in the last week. Need to figure out why the cruise quit working.
stowahstang
Did you check the vacuum line that runs from the vacuum tree to the cruise unit in the drivers fender well?!? This message courtesy of crapatalk! It's the newer 1996 cruise. I think I had a bad switch on the clutch, it wasn't closed to send power to the speed amp. stowahstang
HR lowering coils and Flowmaster exhaust stainless 2.5" sounds a lot better. fixed the drivers seat, not bad for $30 and never have done upholstery before.

stowahstang
Yep. seat is next, just had it out for the first time this spring. HR springs ride great even with old stock v6 shocks, need to do some checking out on the timing because the engine is pinging under heavy throttle. timing set at 12, haven't checked full advance yet. running premium gas also. So figured out the cruise problem finally found the speed sensor ground and signal came thru the under hood fuse harness on the 96v6 and the 94GT got it thru the dash harness. will try it out tomorrow to verify. stowahstang
The old v6 struts didn't last long. did the shorter fox body struts for the lowered coils. ride is tight now up front. Top one is the 96 and the bottom is a fox body strut.
