stang232
Hi could you help me? What is the diameter of the factory fog lamps? I found somwhere that is 3,5" (89mm). I checked the holes and there is enough space for bigger fog lamps I found local two model of lamps . Take bigger or smaller. Mounting Brackets are no problem I fit something.1. 4" - 100mm 2. 3 3/8" 86mm
95riosnake
You're correct that the stock fogs are 3.5" diameter, I know that larger fogs will fit. Some people have done an upgrade using GMC Envoy fog lamps which are 4" so they do fit. I personally prefer the 3.5" size but both look good. Here's a picture of the cobra bumper with 4" Envoy fogs

95riosnake
Just to offer up another option, I converted my fogs to Dodge Dakota fogs. Same diameter as cobra fogs, but a deeper reflector and a nicer looking light. Here's a how-to link for the conversion http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?652612-HOW-TO-Dodge-Dakota-Fogs-on-a-SN95-Cobra
Blackmage
Ok so i want to throw something out there. i do not know if the 03/04s have the same size as the 96-98's. 2013 GT LED fog lights retro-fitted into an 03-04, prices on them look to me over $400 a piece though... I also looked up LED fog lights for the 2015 and they are $128 a piece, no idea if they would work.
95riosnake
So are those some unusual projector-like design? I can't really decide what I'm seeing lol.
Blackmage
So are those some unusual projector-like design? I can't really decide what I'm seeing lol.lol idk the whole story on these. but theyre 13-14 GT LED fog lights retro-fitted into the 03-04 housings. from what i can make out... the first pic is the 13-14 foglight and housing, second pic is the 13-14 foglight cut and removed from the housing. Third and fourth pic is the difference between the 13-14 on the left, and 03-04 on the right. Last pic is the finished pieces, 03-04 housing. 95riosnake
Very interesting, if someone found the fogs used somehow that would be a nice setup! The new price seems a bit cost prohibitive though, damn you Ford.

Steve-Oh
Not sure of the diameter but they do fit 06'-'10 Mustangs so it may be close: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-headlight-fog-light-housings/morimoto-xb-led-fog-lights-type-s.html#.VNwmaC6n4bA They also offer a yellow laminX option for +$

ttocs
there ya go! If it were not for my shinida chin spoiler I would have replaced my bumper with a cobra bumper and done the retrofit.
Blackmage
i wonder if you can get a small enough retrofit for the GT fogs...
95riosnake
Those would have to be some seriously small projectors, hmm. I had to go waaaaay back in the mental database to remember these, but CDC used to make a twin fog kit for the GT bumper, I wanna say they were projectors. Kind of expensive IIRC and they discontinued them. Plus, I can't find shit picture-wise because this was like early-mid 2000's (before the 05 came out and everyone stopped caring about anything 04 and older). Here's the only one I found, it's a Mach that CDC built back in the day.
Blackmage
yuck on the dual projectors, but yea they would be tiny tiny if you did a single. ill have to check out the Theretrofitsource when i get a min to see what they even offer. Yea I agree on the dual projectors being ugly, I'm just saying I'm pretty sure they were mini projectors, so it at least is possible. Not sure TRS would have them, but I'm sure a small projector exists.
Blackmage
hmm they do have some that are 48mm wide by 53mm tall? idk if that sounds right. but this is their smallest http://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-retrofit-kits/bi-xenon-matchbox-fog-light-stage-3-kit-h1.html#.VNzGPvnF9kY

ttocs
I compared my mini's to my fogs and there was just no way I saw it happening. The projector lens is wider then the gt fogs lenses are and unless you did something like the dual kit it would look weird imo.

I was having such a hard time finding any evidence of them existing on the internet I was starting to doubt my memory lol. Anything from early 2000's is hard to come by these days online.
