May as well clue you all in on stage 3 of my build..

Recommended Posts

Since my moms passing on October 28th I've had plenty of time and thought to making the car as a tribute to try and raise money and awareness of cancer and in particular pancreatic cancer..

I've had some much appreciated support and sponsorship for vinyl,parts,etc.. And here's the build thus far..

Now it's onto wastegate placement, cold side piping, intercooler mounting, for now it's grinding and cleaning up the welds and getting some high temp paint to kind of tidy it all up.. You all should have known I couldn't have stayed away from Forced induction for too long..

It's hard to tell from the pictures but are you going to have room to run the cold pipe to the tb with the location of the passenger side wastegate? Curious to see how you end up plumbing it all. Great work so far!

Yeah there's still quite a bit of room.. I think I have a better angle of it

I've still got about 6-8" of space for it, 3" piping

Almost a 90 out of it, but the wastegate also sits a little lower than it looks too

Looking really nice so far, symmetric turbo kits are the shit. Do they make an intake for you push rod guys similar to the Sullivan intakes for the modular engines?

Got the wastegate dumps routed and drilled, decided to go through the hood for them, wasn't my number 1 choice, but it kept from having to change a bunch of wiring and possibly having to drill into the frame for clearance.

Now it's just needs wires ran to spark plugs in each of those pipes and run them to a switch and you could kick it on and each time waste gates open ya got flames shooting up and scaring little old ladies and stuff!!!!! Lmao

I went to an cruise in back in phoenix years ago and I had never been there before so I was not exactly sure of the location.  I stopped at a light and was looking at my directions(this was prior to gps) and looked back up when the car in front of me exploded.  Flames shot up 4 ft from the car and I was about ready to go grab my extinguisher thinking there was no way it would help with a fire that size.  I swear I was about to throw the door open when he turned them off and I realize he had his headers shooting up through the hood and had lit them up on purpose.  I had found the cruise in....

Haven't thought about the route yet, but the pass ever will be heat sleeves and probably run behind the belt accessories, and the drivers side I'll just hook up below where the power steering used to be. That bracket will be cut and the power steering mounting pointed will be gone.. I kept the idler pulley and changed the pulley to a ribbed pulley instead of a flat one.

With underdrives, smaller idler, and no other accessories it came out to be a 590k6 belt.. Fits perfect!
