Supporting Member fiveohwblow Posted December 30, 2015 Supporting Member Report Share Posted December 30, 2015 As the title states, with Mustang guys being curiously unique and #changingthegame often, I was curious when the majority of you with hacked asses started this with your own vehicle. RedTwilight
Well technically I haven't yet removed the spoiler. But I do have another trunk lid that is a factory spoiler delete without any holes. But I may or may not be adding a spoiler to that one!

Ferocious
I think I first removed the stock spoiler in 2012? And then a few months ago that one can off and now there nothing mounted to the trunk. Just some push pins to cover the holes that always seem to fly out when I hit the freeway. 1998CobraSVT
My 1998 has an S-351 spoiler as seen in my avatar, but my 1997 came from the factory spoiler-less. I like both looks to be honest.

410sn95
Many times unfortunately and fortunately but never to follow a trend According to svtperformance and other's, that is NOT a Mustang. You have joined the elite and have acquired a "Terminator Cobra". You sir are much better than a "Mustang" owner now. And yes, you followed the trend

Supporting Member fiveohwblow Posted January 1, 2016 Author Supporting Member Report Share Posted January 1, 2016 Just seen your sig no spoiler no love...you really are on a mission huh lol. That's been there for a hot minute. I'm what some call a passionate person.... People weren't intentionally removing them in the 90's or early 2000's. It wasn't until the last 5 years or so. It's a trend, fad or wherever you wanna call it. Everyone has their own taste and this thread was in fun whilst bored on the holidays.

95riosnake
Depends what wing is being removed IMO. I think some cars pull it off, some don't. If I had a gt (sn or new edge) the stock wing would be gone regardless, but I'd likely run a different one rather than no wing, just personal preference but I think it looks good on some cars. Key: filling holes in the trunk or getting a wingless trunk, otherwise it does have a hacked look IMO.
Prokiller
i removed mine once for a total of about an hour to get a good buff/polish/wax on the deck lid. it was sometime back in 2010ish i think
ttocs
I have to say I always thought the stock spoiler was a great design looks wise. I think it was mainly just my need to change it to be different that I took it off and swapped it....
Younts_Autosport
My V6 (New Edge) came with a factory spoiler and I only took it off to swap for a Roush wing. I could never go spoilerless on any of these cars, Pre-99 or New Edge. If I ever owned a Bullitt I'd probably put a spoiler on it. My apologies. 9838stang
I took my factory spoiler off, and it looked good, but i really liked the look of a ducktail spoiler. I also couldnt find a spoiler without holes and didnt want mine filled. So i got an s281.
Yeahloh95
i rocked the stock one for the first year, then i put a s351 on for a few years, then the smooth trunk lid went on with the s281
