Mustang Day 2017, France, Magny Cours

Recommended Posts

Few days ago I was  at 26th Mustang Day in France.

It was also 3rd European Mustang meeting,

Our polish group consisted of 17 cars and we were the biggest amount beside Mustang Club Of France. It was great opportunity to meet other mustang owners from Europe.

There were over 340 cars.

We arrived few days before meeting, to sightseeing area. We drove over 700km, we saw the biggest castle in France ( Chambord), we tried wine and local food.

The main point of our journey was track day at Magny Cours - ex Formula 1 circuit. This track  has a long straight line which is a challenge for the brakes and also exposes the power difference (and of course the driver's skills).

For me it was first time at big profesional track.

For the first time I saw and heard orginal Shelby GT350 during a session on the track - absolutly amazing. There were also alot fantastic mustangs and nice people.

Just a super party that you have to survive because it's hard to describe it in a few words.

We had 1500 km from Poland one way plus everyone had to ride on the track.
That's why we decided on took lorries and get two extra partys on the bus.

that's actually really awesome that you transported the cars there as a club.  decent turn out too.  no track pics?  where's the drone chase of a car going around the track? :D

before Mustang day at Magny Cours was Classic days with over 2000 diffrent cars. Since 1908 Merceds to Formula 1 Renault.

Most of them rode on the track. Part of the exhibition was for Mustangs.

1st May  we were already on the track early in the morning. First Briefing, then looking the car park as soon as 340 cars arrived. Unfortunately Sn95 modestly represented
94-98 1 V6 copue, 1 V6 conv, 96 GT export coupe and my 95 5.0
99-04 1 Terminator from UK, and 4 GT conv and coupe.
There were also several foxes but the same trend as in Poland.
Fewer and fewer Sn95 on European roads have been left in good shape, and the cost of restoring cars in bad shapei is so big that they  has been scrapped.

from 8 to 12 was time for few 20minutes session.

At 14:00 was start of the parade on track
