LilRoush
Too bad. I can't wait to take the SALEEN hood of my ROUSH and put something still functional, but not hybrid on it. LOLWish Steeda made the Q400 version for the 94-98 cars.
Brian
Haha. I've always gotten a kick outta your "hybrid" I would definitely run their "lift off" hood but my car isn't that crazy yet, I have not even gotten any track time, cost, and I don't believe that will pass inspection which is something I have to worry about for now. Those picutres you posted in the other thread of the full body green mustang were sick btw. I'm sold on that TR hood now.
Brian
I'm not as concerned about the price. I'm looking for the best heat extraction. Plus I don't like the way the termi hoods look on our cars.
ReplicaR
I'm going to go with Tiger Racing shell some time soon. As far as I can tell, it's the most functional hood on the market. They still have the molds, so they can still make them, it just takes a couple of weeks for delivery. I spoke to Paul Brown a couple of week ago, so they are still very much in business. I believe the going rate for the outer shell is $400 from fiberglass. You would either have to pin it on, or glue to the inner shell of stock hood, which is probably what I'm going to do. kennyGT
just to add my 2 cents to an old post, for functionality purposes any vents that are in line with heads and intake manifold are gonna produce the best results in engine temps AND air temps coming in. that being said the TR seems to be the best result. I would definitely hold off till they make the fiberhood

Brian
I found out that Paul Brown owner of Tiger Racing (and son to the famous Kenny Brown) passed away in October of 2012. I contacted Kenny Brown Performance to see they knew where to get ahold of a hood. Looks like they sell them on their site but currently have it listed as 99-04 but the picture is of the 94-98 car. iRoush
Probably the only Q400 hood owner that had the balls to cut out the vents on the hood. The cuts are rough and definitely unfinished but I'll be working on it more next weekend...

iRoush
Are you not allowed to open the hood after the run?you get right back in line after the run, you'd maybe have the hood open for 30 seconds before you gotta be back in the car ready to go.
