Moderators LWARRIOR1016 Posted July 7, 2017 Moderators Report Share Posted July 7, 2017 How the heck do these fender badges come off. Im getting started on my bodywork and need to pull them. I would like to keep them intact if at all possible.
Orange 94
Heat gun and something like floss? They should just be stuck on with an adhesive and there's a pin to position it.

ttocs
piano wire or a thin guitar wire works great with a little heat.

Moderators LWARRIOR1016 Posted July 10, 2017 Author Moderators Report Share Posted July 10, 2017 Great, thanks guys. Ill probably end up pulling them off today. Im going to start with the floss as thats available to me right now and if that doesnt work, Ill move up to something a little heavier.
Prokiller
i just use a credit card decal applicator thing. and for the price of badges, its better to just get new ones.
98SnakeHorse
I really wish they didnt have a hole underneath the badge as I would be happy to just go without them.
Number Tew
I've had success with fishing line in the past. As noted, I would probably get new ones if you want badges still
Blackmage
the heat can sometimes seperate the "chrome" from the emblem too. dont get too crazy with it
Serpent
3M weatherstrip adhesive works great. comes in yellow and black. another floss user for getting the badges off. more gentle since it is a softer material than piano wire or any other metal string type material. less possible damage to paint that way. never have had to use heat to get them off. just be patient and bring plenty of floss!!!
