I like just the part that is cut out with some of it going up where the pillar cover rolls into the window.

Thats kind of what im thinking.  Where the sail makes the 90* bend towards the window would get a thin CF cover to help it all blend into the future CF section.

I applied the flexibly hysol to all the parts that needed some repairs.

This includes the front bumper where the previous morons.. i mean owner(s) cut and improperly mounted it, so it had a few tears on the tabs under the headlights.

I also fixed the driver side Termi side skirt where it was creased and cracked.  This involved heating up the side skirt to push it back to shape and holding it till it cooled.  Its not perfect, but its much better than it was.  I then filled the gouges where the crease was.

I filled the gaps on the 94-98 sail panels:

And glued the side scoops on:

Today was warmer than it has been for the past few weeks, so i was able to do a little bit.

I sanded down the 94-98 sail panel filler and put in another round of the flexible hysol:

I also sanded down the filled epoxy on the termi side skirts and put some of the SEM Bumper Bite flexible body filler on so i can fill in the scratches and get them prepped for primer/ paint.

I also feathered out some of the chips and paint blisters on the front bumper. No photo, as i plan to try and do a decent looking from splitter for the Termi bumper since i refuse to pay $400 for the factory lip.

Today was nice so i rolled the car out to finish up the last of the body work on the side scoops and sail panels.

Sail panels are done:

Side scoops are pretty close to done.  I need to order more phenolic microballoons so i can make the leading edge of the scoop ding resistant, so i decided to stop and call it a day.

Another nice day, so i filled in the leading edges of the scoops, sanded down a bit more filler and shot a layer of epoxy primer to seal it all in.

A few small pinholes to deal with in each scoop and then the whole car will be ready for a layer of high build primer:

those pictures really helped my eyes understand the lines better.  i think it looks great.

I was kinda all 🤪🤪 when it was raw material as well, it was really difficult to see what was going on.   Now that its all one color, is pretty easy to see.   I like it, its different and will never be seen on another car.

Awesome work so far.  I really enjoy seeing the bodywork progress.  The color really looks great.

Thank you!  Body work sucks, but its a necessary evil.  Lol

I’m kind of looking into doing something other than the 3V swap in this car.  It honestly just depends on if i can snag the right donor from the insurance auction in Jan/Feb. :)

Home for 5 days, so im going to see if i can make a splitter for the Terminator bumper.

Im wanting to try and make something similar to this:

So first up was outlining the shape with some vinyl masking tape:

Then i waxed the area of the splitter, threw a few layers of glass on and peel plied it all:

Not being happy with how the splitter flows with the bumper, i removed the side pieces and started shaping the foam so its more like the OEM bumper lip.  Once i get this shaped and flowing well i will try Ver. 2 of a splitter to see if i can come up with something that flows with the bumper.   If not, i’ll just do a CF lip.

Just my opinion of course, don't get me wrong I love custom stuff like this but I think the more it sticks out it just kind of ruins the cobra nose.  I know everyone wants it to stick out and have the rods on the front but I am more curious how it would look if it were shorter myself.  If it only stuck out an inch or two more like just a lip then an actual true splitter.  Also don't forget the nose is not meant for much down force on it.  If you make it to big you will need to figure out some reinforcement either for the bumper or  some kind of support.

Thats kinda what im thinking to.  The Termi nose is hard to make something flow well bc of how flat it is up front. Im thinking something along the lines of 1- 1 1/2” lip would be about perfect and have the center raised a little as well.

I’m going to put a few layers of glass on the lip area as it is now, then worry about the splitter lip later.

Agreed!

right now the debate is 1” or 2” of lip.  Lol

split the difference and go 1 1/2";)

It's looking good so far.  Are you still planning to do the splitter in a separate piece from the lip?

I like it but I think I would smooth the transition on the sides from the lip to the bumper up until the raised center section if it were mine.

All of the fiberglass on the side of the bumper will be removed.  The splitter itself will attach more like a lip than what i originally planned on.
