  2. Hey all, I'm looking into getting a car from a private party in California. A couple of my friends have done this, and gotten raped on fees; 450$ for an 01 Cobra, 750 for a C5 Z06. I'm stationed in Arizona, where my current car is registered. We're planning on a trade. So, do we just need notarized titles and temporary registration until we can go to our respective DMVs? I'm just trying to avoid registering it in California when I still have another year left on my AZ registration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Thanks guys! I originally found the forum looking through Det_riot's amazing build thread, which lead me to 95riosnake's! I'm 21, currently stationed in AZ but originally from southeastern PA. I bought my first car, a 1998 Cobra with 93k and bone stock except for 4.10 gears and flow master mufflers, in the fall of 2011. I drove it for 6 months or so before I left for recruit training in March, and except for my dad occasionally driving to work to keep it running, it sat until December 2012. I came home for 10 days before being stationed in Yuma; that's when I redid the stock suspension with H&R SuperSport springs and Bilstein shocks and struts with MM caster camber plates. Around June 2013 I redid the exhaust, changing to straight pipes with Magnapacks welded in and side exhaust. My car was too low for that, so I got some flow tubes and an O/R H pipe to make it a dumped exhaust. I put a 2003 Console in for the added comfort in March 2014, and an OEM S281 spoiler. Next plans are chrome 03 reps and redoing the interior carpet. Thanks again guys, I'll enjoy being around here!
