Tony
geeeeezz i ask a LOT of tech questions. here comes another, lolanyone ever took apart their alt.? i was about to send mine off to get polished but i could just do it myself once i make sure that when i take it apart it's not going to be a crazy ass puzzle of parts to try to put back together. JOEKD did you take yours apart when you painted yours?
joekd
Yep, I took mine apart when painted it. Very easy to reassemble, just need to be careful the springs are seated when you put the case back on. Should be a write up around from when I did mine. Tony
Please tell me you at least took the pulley off before you ghetto sprayed itwtf is ghetto spray? didnt you just spray paint your alt, lol? i did'nt remove the pulley, just taped it off. i wanted to send it out to get polished but i still would need to disassemble it first, then when i get the parts back..reassemble it. so my next project will be to see how a 99-04 alt. will work. they make them polished. look the same as ours, lol.
