330CubeGt
Are the 4 bolt holes on the end of the housing the same pattern from the 8.8 to the 7.5 rears. I found a 8.8 drum brake rear at the junk yard for $100 and I wanted to swap on the 7.5 flanges for the disk brakes while im in the yard so I can take a complete disk break 8.8 rear out of there. But not 100% if the older drum brake 8.8s would be different? Craig
I dont know if a 7.5 will work or not but if you bring you a sawzall, take a set of 9'' ends off and weld them mugs to you 8.8.
330CubeGt
Just incase anyone was wondering, everything swaps right over. Im running a fox housing with v6 axle housing ends/disk breaks with S595 axles. Im 100% sure the 1979 to 98 housings are identical and all that changed from 94-98 was the housing ends and the disk brakes as well as a slightly longer set of axles Heads up and ass kickin!
