SVTurbo 98
Cool project. Does the 302 drop right in with a k member or is there more to it?
Number Tew
isn't a 302 just a bored 289? Correct me please if I'm wrong. i thought they were similar or took the same K, if my memory serves me correctly.

Correct me please if I'm wrong. i thought they were similar or took the same K, if my memory serves me correctly. The answer is no. A 289 , 302 and 351 all have the same standard bore of 4.00".The 289s had a stroke of 2.870 Stroke of 3.000" for 302s and 3.500" for 351s.The 289 and 302 block are the same deck height, which is why their heads and intakes interchange.A 351 has a taller deck heighth than a 302 or 289. Thanks! Are their mounts the same? What I was getting at is I'm pretty sure they took the same K member, though I might be wrong.
jo4roush99
Yes they can use the same motor mounts. The motor mounts actually bolt to the unibody.
