Post Up Your Past Rides

Recommended Posts

Ok so I figured I would post up my past vehicles to show the progression to what I have now.

First car, 1994 toyota celica gt. Loved the darn thing but it had so many issues it wasn't even funny. Speedometer worked when it wanted to, lots of undercarriage rust, rear e-brake dragged, and it only got 18 mpg when it was rated at 24ish? I got the newer celica gts wheels for it, put a honda s2000 radio antenna on it, clear side markers(not pictured), painted the front grill inserts, and a cai.

1993 Dodge Ram 150 318 v8. Still have this as my backup/bad weather ride. Runs good, but is ugly.

1998 Mustang Gt automatic. Had this about 2 years. Was pretty happy with it, but I test drove a 2011 mustang gt and then realized how slow my gt was so I had to get something faster. Sold it to an old couple that offered me more than it was really worth, plus they asked me to put the stock wheels back on it so I was able to sell my fr500s for more profit. Had hids, fr500s, maximum motorsports lowering springs, bilstein hd shocks n struts, 03 cobra front sway bar, xcal 3 with AM tune, chrome headlights/turns, and flowmasters.

2001 Ford Ranger 4.0 xlt Pretty solid little truck, the 4.0 gave it some balls too, probably would have been close with my 98 gt acceleration.

Flipped it for a profit to purchase my cobra. Only owned about 6 months but it was a solid truck.

My current vehicle, 1996 Cobra. Bad paint, but I've fixed it up so that its running solid. Happy with it for now, but likely it will be sold for a corvette down the road.

Solid looking cars dude! Those rangers are pretty ballsy with the 4.0. Nice and light. My buddy has one that blew a headgasket and hasnt really been right since, misfiring like a bitch but still trucking hard. Can't figure out what is wrong with it, valve seals, injectors, no idea =\

Oh btw, if/when you sell your car, I call dips on your export mirrors =D

Thanks for the comment man. Yeah that Ranger was pretty solid and it had just over 200k miles lol, same engine as the s197 v6.

Sorry to break it to ya, but Brian already has dibs on the export mirrors.

Go for it! I'd like to see what the rest of you used to drive.

Yeah, me too.

Someone else should make the thread, or we could just change the title of this one?

Just instead of it being me constantly making new threads, I think we should let someone else have the honor. :)

My very first car. (and so far my only one).

I bought it in 2011 at the age of 16.

Almost 2 years later it looks like this:

I still have alot of work ahead of me.

I'm probably gonna keep the mustang and find a used R6 to daily to school and stuff.

My first and only car so far is also my Mustang.

A 1994 3.8L V6 Conv.

This is what it looked like back when I get it in 2007:

getpic4.jpg

It has gone a long way since then, me and this car has pretty much been to hell and back. I have to get a new transmission and engine for it, as well as a whole bunch of other things.

It is only lightly modified in terms of performance, since most of my time working on this car and not to mention money has been spend restoring it and fixing it. But my work has payed off since it runs like a new car now. But it is still not remotely fast though, which is the thing that annoys me most about this car.

This is the latest picture I have of it, it was taken in the summer of 2012.

1993 Dodge Cummins... I loved that truck. This picture makes it look really terrible, but it was actually really clean other than the hood/roof.

93DodgeCumminsDieselMyfirstvehicle.jpg

Then I bought a Porsche 944.. had fun with that for a while, then it blew a head gasket. My uncle bought it from me and fixed it. Still drives it today.

Aaand before getting what I have now, I had this 1994 Mustang GT Vert.. Perfect cobra clone when I bought it though. Glad to get rid of that car.

Finally, my current GT.

Yeah, I understand why you got rid of the Fobra. I have always been against Fobras too, in terms of appearence a cobra front bumper is fine on a non-cobra, but other than that; No.

Well, mostly the reason I got rid of it was because of the paint, and because it was vert. I had gotten rid of the badges pretty quickly. The only problem Fobra wise, was the cobra rear bumper. They car was just a mess otherwise.

Can't find any of my actual picutres of my last rides....these will have to suffice:

First car was a gem of a truck! Looked identical to this one except we had the plastic molded mirrors on it. So many great memories in that truck, ended up selling it to a guy my dad works with for his son. He still drives it back and forth to maryland for school, had almost 200k on it when we sold it.

snowboarding117.jpg

Second car was a 1998 Buick Park Avenue Ultra...yah....this baby was fully loaded and supercharged =] From heated seats to a car phone, it was decked out and coool as hell. I actually burned through tires in that faster than i do in the mustang. Best daily ever until I drove it through a huge "puddle" (more like a pond) popped the trans and it was never right after that =\

'95 Mustang Gt sold in 2010 while deployed(wife did it with my permission)

buha7uta.jpg

'99 Mustang that I sold in '04 before I went to bootcamp to pay off my debt

jure2e9y.jpg

'92 LX, 351w, C4. Matt(PRPVINYL) and I put a LOT if time into this car, but the passion ran out, and I sold it in 2011.

buha5uta.jpg

'89 GT, not mine, my buddies, but it did spend 9 months in my garage, carport, driveway or front yard.

urydemu2.jpg

'93 LX, again not mine, but this one(the replacement to the '89 spent a year at my house being worked on, 347, C4, reverse manual valve body, gutted, stripped, 10pt cage, fuel cell. It runs and my buddy took it home to Ohio to his parents before he got sent to Japan(Navy) the last 2, though not mine had enough of my blood sweat and years in them, I partially claim them. Plus they took up my garage and carport for over a year... Wife LOVED it...not... lol

My old '91 Cherokee Limited. I miss this thing, I was actually on autotrader last night looking for a new one. It has it's problems but NOTHING compared to what I have to endure with this stupid Lincoln :banging: I also had an '85 Cherokee Chief as well but can't see to find any pic's of it at the moment.
