stang232
Hi I had a leak, fault this little bypass hose. I replace with the new one.Now I have question, how to bleed. In my old 3.8 there was special vent plug.Is 5.0 equipped with a plug? How to correctly fill cooling system? And bleed
Det_Riot
My general method is as follows:-Fill up coolant system through radiator cap. Don't top it off, just a normal level.-jack up front end of car so radiator cap is the highest point in the system.-Start car with radiator cap open.-Watch coolant level, when it starts getting high, you usually can blurp the throttle to draw more into the system. -when the thermostat opens, the coolant level will drop.-as the level drops, fill coolant to keep it at there top of the radiator.-So long as the level stays constant and temp stays normal you're all set
Prokiller
i fill the radiator up a decent amount then squeeze the hell out of the upper rad hose to force the coolant through the system. bulbs up the coolant from the air getting pushed through but sucks the coolant into the block. rinse and repeat until it's full. drive it around a bit and check it later. 410sn95
I use a coolant fill funnel, seals to the radiator and keeps the mess to a minimum. Fill up mid level in funnel then after the thermo pops fill to mid level in the funnel again. Run until the bubbles stop coming up. Plug funnel with the T. Pull the funnel and adaptor do-hicky. On goes the cap and done.
