Recommended Posts

I have shorly introduced my self here: http://www.sn95source.com/showthread.php?843-Thought-I-would-join-here-too&p=20737#post20737

Thought I would make a build thread as well.

As mentioned in the introduction thread, this is what she looked like when I first got her back in 2007:

So of course new rims were needed BAD! ..so I picked up some starfish rims for her, I got an awesome price on them too.

This summer I sure got alot done to the car as well.

I wanted to clean up my calipers, so heres what I did;

First painted them silver with caliper paint.

IMG_0048.jpg

Then I had a fun idear..

Printed this layout.

Pony-Outline2.jpg

Printed a few sized to see which one would fit the best and then cut it out..

IMG_0046.jpg

Then made one of these for each side...

IMG_0047.jpg

this is the final result

I ordered a B&M Hammershifter as well, the thing is that I didn't like how the hammer handle looked, so I ordered a "T-Handle w. button" for it, and hooked the button up to the O/D controls, so instead of me having to take my eyes off the road to locate the little O/D button, I simply have right by my thumb.

Heres what I am talking about.

I got under my car one day and found this:

IMG_4664.jpg

I used Hammerrite, because it's cheaper than POR-15 and is easier to find overhere as well.

Ortiz performance is awesome, great service and tunes for sure.

IMG_0135.jpg

Whoever serviced my car last sure did a rubish job, 5 of my sparkplugs were AC Delcos and one were Champion.

IMG_0158.jpg

One of them had the wire bend so it didn't spark properly.

IMG_0159.jpg

and of course one was cracked too..

Here we are, cleaned up several things on the engine, including the altinator and A/C pump

IMG_4682.jpg

These were starting to rust in the sides so what the heck..

IMG_4685.jpg

Even these got a loving hand too..

IMG_4686.jpg

I wanted to try out a copper/gold paint I had lying around..

IMG_4687.jpg

IMG_4688.jpg

IMG_4689.jpg

Got these looking shiny new too..

IMG_4690.jpg

at some time my engine room had been painted before, and whoever did that seems to have used some kind of universal paint.

IMG_4693.jpg

not intended for metal thats for sure, looks more like an "indoor" type of paint.

IMG_4694.jpg

There thats better, hammerrite to the rescue

IMG_4695.jpg

I wanted to try out the Copper/gold paint on the brake wires as well, turned out OK I think..

Not really a build/restro update, just me who loves showing Ford pride. Not to mention the quallity of this Ford Merchandise is amazing. I know some of you think its stupid, but I like it and thats all that really matters.. ..Also because I am against buying things for my car that doesn't do anything performancewise if they don't come from ford or say Ford on them.

I ordered these a few days ago and they just arrived today.
