Yeahloh95
you will need your flange off your rear as the cobra uses the bigger bolt pattern
kucklehead
Ok so just swap them out? Hell yeah!!!! Thanks manSent from a Bionic powerhouse
01yellercobra
99/01 IRS uses the same size pinion flange as the SRA's. The 03/04's use the bigger flange. Your SRA drive shaft might need to be shortened about an inch.Misspelling brought to you by Tapatalk Edited October 1, 2012 by 01yellercobra
kucklehead
Ok ill figure it out when I put it in thanks for the heads up though guysSent from a Bionic powerhouse
reivaxtorres
The driveshaft shouldn't need to be shortened, but it might need a bit of persuasion to get it on. A shortened shaft would make life easier tho.
95riosnake
Make sure you get the cables for the ABS sensors too.
kucklehead
What if I delete the abs? I don't have abs on my carSent from a Bionic powerhouse
01yellercobra
You can just unscrew the sensors from the center section. Don't throw them away though. I've heard Ford wants an arm and a leg for them now.FWIW, I ran a foxbody aluminum driveshaft when I had the 3650 in the car. It was a tight fit. In order to get it in I had to wiggle the pinion flange on the driveshaft around the pinion nut on the rear end. If the SN95 drive shaft is any longer then the foxbody drive shaft it'll have to be shortened.
kucklehead
With the cobra irs can I use my current sra springs and shocks?Sent from a Bionic powerhouse
01yellercobra
Springs are completely different. I have a set of rears if you need them. The shocks will work, but IRS shocks and SRA are valved differently. So I would plan on new shocks at some point.Misspelling brought to you by Tapatalk
kucklehead
I bought it with springs but mine are lowered so I didn't know if I could im also getting the shocks too so ill just use it all the set up only has a few thousand miles on itSent from a Bionic powerhouse
01yellercobra
If you're getting stock springs just trim them to the height you want. You might want to look on svtperformance. Sometimes rear lowering springs pop up from guys going SRA.
kucklehead
Ok how easy and reliable are cut springs?Sent from a Bionic powerhouse
01yellercobra
Easy as long as you have the right tools. I used an angle grinder with a cut off wheel. As for reliability, I've had the same cut springs under my car for over 6 years. Misspelling brought to you by Tapatalk
Yeahloh95
i just cut the ones i put in my svo and i think the shocks are different because of the way the bolt goes thru i used the irs ones

Mystic SVT
With the cobra irs can I use my current sra springs and shocks?Sent from a Bionic powerhouseYou need 99-04 IRS springs and shocks. SRA shocks will not work nor will SRA springs.
