330CubeGt's underhood makeover...

Recommended Posts

Im not much for a pretty engine bay and the little chrome and billet pieces. But about a year ago I painted a few things under the hood grafite Gray to go with the color of the old wheels. Been wanting to do something different that I wouldn't have to mess with for a while.

Ended up using two different types of VHT paint. One is a high temp wrinkle finish (on the intake) and the headers tubes and valve covers got coated in VHT flame proof extreme high temp stuff. COP covers were sanded down through my paint and the original coating down to bare aluminum then laid 6 coats of enamel clear. Also removed the SvT plate from the pass side vc as this is a mark 8 motor and not the real Cobra motor :/ Here are some pics from start to finish. And if you ever use VHT wrinkle black Read the directions before you use it!
