This is my 1994 Mustang GT. It belonged to my older cousin who I was very close with. He lost his life back in 2009 and wanted me to have the car. He bought it back in 1999 with 53k miles on it. It was like new and he really did love this car. I guess it was just fate with how it ended up. As a young kid whenever I would travel to Washington for the holidays I would ask to go for a ride in it. Basically, at the time this car was just plain badass in my eyes. I thought it was fast and cool and wanted one just like it. He had fun with it for a few years and one day the rear tire went flat and someone stole the stock cats out of his shop. He couldn’t renew the tabs due to strict emissions and he just forgot about it. It just sat there with the spare on and the flat tire in the trunk.

The car sat for 7 years beside his house in the weather from 2003-2010. At that time I drove a really clean porcelain blue 1998 VW GTI VR6 that was my first car. My VW was all stock when I bought it but I lowered it, installed Magnaflow exhaust, and some other stuff done to it. It was like brand new up until the day I sold it; I took good care of that car. I went to car meets with it and met a lot of cool people. I decided to sell my GTI and use the money to fix up this Mustang that had so many memories and it just felt like the right thing to do. When something tragic happens you have to find a way to make something good out of it. I guess this was a way for me to give back to my best friend.

When I got the car in 2010 it had 94K miles on it and the paint was shot and the car just looked horrible. it wouldn’t start because of a dead battery and it hadn’t had a car wash in 7 years. The first thing I did was changed all the fluids and make sure the car was able to be driven. I called around to some paint shops and got price quotes and ended up getting the car painted at Maaco. I purchased the highest quality service they offered which was their signature service. Since I sold my car this was and still is my only transportation so I needed it road ready and dependable. Here is a list of work I have done thus far.

Detail work:

- Upper engine bay washed and dressed. The Interior shampoo and dressed. The Paint buffed and waxed. The Exhaust tail pipes polished.

Engine Maintenance:

- Motor Oil and filter

- Transmission fluid

- Radiator Flush

- Brake Flush

- Power Steering Flush

- New battery

- Spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, coil

- Oxygen sensors

- Coolant sensors

- Thermostat,

- PCV valve

- K&N Air Filter

- Clutch Cable

Suspension:

- Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates

- Crossed drilled and slotted Rotors

- H&R rear wheel spacers

- H&R lowering springs

Exterior:

- Painted base coat clear coat urethane factory OEM Black.

- Removed hood pins & filled holes

- Repaired stress cracks in front bumper

- Repaired dents

- New badges and emblems

- Stainless steel bumper letter inserts.

- New headlights

- New taillights

- New reflector lenses

Interior:

- Window tint all around

Drivetrain:

-3.55 gears with speedo calibrator

-Rear differential fluid change with gasket

Exhaust:

-Stock Catalytic converters with deleted mufflers

Wheels:

-17x8 Tribar’s (OEM)

-17x8 Bullitt’s (03-04) - current

Other Parts:

- Spare Tire, Door lock cylinders, Ignition switch, Turn signal switch, Radiator cover decal, brake pads, fuel neck grommet.

The new coil looked like this after awhile from the rusty bracket so I sanded and painted it. Gave it a finished touch.

I will need a clutch and new shocks in the near future. My goal is to slowly work this car over until it is brand new inside and out. LMR seems to have most of the parts I'm looking for and also AM. Thank you so much for all of the comments and hospitality. It means a lot to me!

I polished my stainless tailpipes today using SOS steel wool pads and noticed the inside of the Bullitts were pretty dirty.

Many miles of brake dust and road grime.

I took them off and did some steel wool scrubbing. What a difference!

Anybody recommend a good way to get rubber off inner fenders? A good friend of mine was in town and I did a little burn out for him. I figured all I do is baby the car anyways so what the heck. The tire got so hot it stuck on the inner fender like tar...

That means a lot coming from you! Thank you! Mine is always a work in progress it seems. I was driving downtown the other day and a guy in Comp Orange Cobra Termi pulled along side me and gave me the thumbs up. Made me feel pretty good considering the fact he was driving my dream car.
