itsblown93
http://youtu.be/2JpjsiePdnMOk I'm just going to start off by saying this this the reason you do the proper safety equipment. No one should ever try and find ways around the rules THEY ARE THERE FOR YOUR SAFETY! Ok so I was at the track with my best friend tonight and he runs his car in true street which this car runs in the 4.90-5.40s at over 130mph I'm the 1/8th mile. So it was the first round of eliminations and my buddy is the first pass in his class. This car has all the safety equipment for his times/mph. Ill let the pictures and video do the speaking for why I'm posting this. The cage did its job and he is fine and walked away from this accident. the car hit trans fluid at the top end of the track at 120+mph which is what caused the car to shoot to the left luckily the guy in the other lane was far enough back to avoid hitting him. I know after watching this happen to my best friend I will never try and get around the safety rules. Edited August 19, 2013 by itsblue95

Steve@CJPP
Holy hell man glad he walked away from that. The car in the left lane lifted hard which is what I believe saved these two from meeting. Had he not of kissed the sky this could of been a lot worse at the top end. Moderators Psychorugby Posted August 19, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted August 19, 2013 Holy shit. This type of stuff is what keeps me from wanting to do true drag racing. I get nervous when the tries unexpectedly break loose.

It could have been prevented if the track officials checked the lanes like they are suppose to between each class. But its to late now. They are going to fix this car as his dad has had it for 21 years and means a lot to the family. I posted this because they had all the proper safety equipment. If they didn't do a 25.2 cage last winter it may have been a different story. But we are very thankful that he was just able to walk away from this.- - - Updated - - -Holy shit.
