December 27, 2012:

So last week I finished my first semester of college and now I'm on break for 3 weeks. I haven't been posting much these past months because of school and such.

But now I'm not as busy anymore so I'll be popping in much more often. That's why I've been posting threads and how-to's left and right. I have nothing better to do during the day.

It's been a rough couple months as my car's been having problems left and right. From a coolant leak, to a cracked manifold, to an idle issue, to threading 3 studs on my front wheels.

I finally have the car running almost as good as new. I still have a tiny idle problem where it will die randomly but it rarely happens now. I think I just need new 02 sensors.

In other news, the front end has been lowered more, the harnesses are 75% in, I put new studs and red lug nuts on the wheels, and I put my tailpipes back on!

With all that said, I'm glad to be back on the source.

I'll make sure to get some new graphics going for the new year.

And lastly, here's a picture of the new interior and a video with the new tips+tailpipes:

Today I finally got around to finishing up the harness install. They are mounted to the seatbelts in the rear and the seat brackets in the front.

I made sure to follow schroth's installation write-up.

2 days ago, I also took the car to the exhaust shop to put my tailpipes and new tips on.

The tips are 18" long Cherry Bombs with a 3.5" rolled edge, slant cut outlet.

The exhaust sounds SO much better than before. Its not as loud just cruising, but still has that "get out of my way" tone at wide open throttle.

Not to mention, they look pretty badass.

I also got around to installing my red lug nuts. JDM ftw!

January 4, 2013:

Today I went to Discount Tire to pick up some new tires.

I was originally gonna go with the Kumho Ecsta AST's but after talking to the rep there, I went with the Kumho Ecsta ASX's.

I got the front ones in 245/45/17. So 10mm larger than what I'm running now.

When I got home I also placed an order for new rear tires.

I got the Kumho Ecsta XS's in 295/35/17.

I'll have everything mounted and balance and get an alignment next week when the rear meats come in.

I went up to my buddies house this weekend and finally got around to installing my red LED strips. I mounted them under the steering wheel and the glove box.

We soldered the wires to the map lights, but apparently those wires have switches and are always hot.

So I went to O'reillys and got a little switch and ran the rest of the wiring to that. It works like a charm.

Lights look good by I honestly prefer the look of my white ones

BTW - your drivers side footwell pedals are all messed up, there is supposed to be a 3rd one to the left and that big one should be a lot smaller so it fits in the middle

Honestly the red was the way to go with the lights. On my dad's car, if the accent lighting is anything other than red it gets distracting. I guess it all depends on how bring it is also. Shit looks sweet though!

Yesterday I got my new tires mounted and balanced on my car. I also got the best of an alignment as I could without C/C plates. :dontknow:

The tires look really good on the car and sit flush in the front, and stick out a tad in the back. Which is exactly what I wanted.

I'll be removing my isos in the rear soon though because these tires are shorter than my previous ones.

I also received my new IAC module and installed that to fix my idle problem. For the most part it worked, I just need to check the voltage on my TPS because I think that's acting up too.

Lastly, I ghetto rigged some zip-tied electrical tape around my throttle body idle screw since mines completely threaded and I can't tighten it anymore.

I am not trying to be a jerk or anything, but I am not feeling those red seats at all. It might be the lighting in the pictures.

But that is just my opinion, the main thing is that you like them.

They look a little dirty, maybe slicks can hook you up with some cloth cleaner?

whatever you dont buy turttle wax seat cleaner, it is really a waste of money. I tried that stuff on my moms car and it didn't do anything, I just ended up with a wet and dirty seat lol

@Det_riot Yeah I changed my mind and I'm gonna sell it. I want a 3" cam lock harness.

And yeah I know the seats are dirty. I'll snag up some products and clean them this week.

I'll also get more pictures of the seats later for you guys.

So I've had some pretty good seat time with these so I can safely throw my verdict out there.

The seats are extremely comfortable, stylish, and sturdy. I bolted them down using the corbeau brackets specifically made for my car and they fit like a charm.

They even give you a little wiggle room to mess with (which came in handy when I first bolted them in and the passenger seat touched the door).

Since then I have fixed this problem, completely adjusted my racing harness, and started cleaning them with degeaser.

The seats themselves give you more head and leg room than the stock leather seats. I'm 6'1 and these have plenty of room for me.

You do feel a little lower in the seat, which is good if you're tall. The seats are amazingly comfortable and they just wrap around you perfectly.

Taking turns is a blast since I'm not swung from left to right anymore. I havent used the harness yet but I know I will enjoy hard driving even more with these new seats.

Another awesome thing about these seats is that they are fully adjustable and reclinable. So no fixed back positions for daily driving.

The corbeau brackets rock. There is no way to fully express how easy they make it to install aftermarket seats. Do you have the single or double lockers?

Not too sure? I have these:

Today I got around to mounting my fire extinguisher in the trunk. It's held in by 2 screws and the extinguisher itself has a little connecting strap for quick release.

It's held in securely so it won't be flying around on turns.

I also removed my dash clock and put a peice of red film behind it to make it glow red.

Now everything finally illuminates the same color inside the car.
