There were a few reasons why I wanted a 5.0, at the time, over other options. For one I love the sound of the 302, they seemed to be somewhat cheaper to build, and I have a close friend who knows these cars in and out so I'd always have a helping hand if needed. Anyways, after searching for a while I came across an ad that caught my attention. I spoke with the seller for a while I finally decided to make the trip to check the car out. At this time I was working overnights so I got off work, after a 12 hour shift, at 5:30AM, drove to my parent’s house to meet my father, and off we were. We drove about 6.5 hours from Chesapeake, VA to Reading, PA. I was happy to see that the paint looked a lot better in person than it did in the pictures. First thing I did was jack the car up and check for rust being that it's a northern car. To my amazement the car was very clean with only minor surface rust, nothing to worry about. The car had 96,963 original miles (motor / trans / body) with only a CAI, O/R Midpipe, & SLP dumps when purchased. Everything else was stock. I took it for a test drive and fell in love. I ended up paying $6,500 and it came with a truck load of extra parts which were later sold. I got it home, began modding, and it's turned into what you see today.
