Steel or aluminum flywheel for a DD?

Recommended Posts

I installed a McLeod Lightened Steel Flywheel along with a McLeod clutch and I am very satisfied. It is very driveable.

That's the one I went with. Would recommend it,

went with a new spec clutch and spec aluminum flywheel.  had really good luck with all my spec stuff, even with the minor chattering issues for the first thousand or so miles.  might as well stick with it.

have maybe 30-40 miles on the new clutch and flywheel.  dont really notice much of a difference going from the steel to aluminum flywheel driving wise.  not sure why everyone on the interballs thinks theyre bad for daily driving.  loving it so far!
