Prokiller
I'd be willing to bet that 99% of cops wouldn't even notice.it's not so much the cops as the inspection stations that will notice it. not sure if maryland is like PA or not, but in PA, if the car had a 3rd brake light from the factory, then it has to have one to pass inspection. SublimeRT
I would find an aftermarket or suitable OEM piece to put in the top or bottom of the back window. It kind of bugs me to drive behind a car with a dead third brake light. And I would want one in any car I'm driving, whether it came with one or not. They are proven to be effective in reducing rear end collisions. And seeing as they aren't even on unless you're braking, it's not like they're eyesores. Just my 2 cents. Sho Amo
@SublimeRT In MD we don't do yearly inspections. You need an inspection before registering the car and it's good for the life of the registration. With a historic tag (car is 20 years old) you don't need an inspection at all. The cops here are d-bags though.EDIT: Meant to tag @ProkillerSo I originally ordered my spoiler in white fiberglass from special carbon fiber. I got an email a little bit later saying that the white one he had got sold before my order came in but he had a black one if I wanted so I said yes. Fast forward less than a week til today. He sent me one in carbon :-) Does matter much because I'm painting it anyways. Here's something I didn't know. Looks like the 96-98 cars have different bolt locations for their spoilers? So I've got a lead on a 96-98 trunk which will solve my issue with the 3rd brake light. I'll probably end up getting it shaved and painted along with the spoiler. My question is do people actually want the 94/95 cobra trunk? I've heard its desirable. SublimeRT
Yeah, the mounting points for the 94-95 crab claw spoiler are different than the GT and 96-98.Some people want the 94-95 decklid and/or spoiler, but if you think you might ever sell the car then maybe think about holding onto it since it's one of the few unique body parts that differentiate the Cobras from the GTs. I know if I were looking for a 94-95 Cobra and it didn't have the decklid and spoiler I'd probably pass.
Prokiller
it's really only desirable as a pair of spoiler/lid.
Sho Amo
So here's an update. @SublimeRT had a good idea about an aftermarket 3rd brake light and I decided I really wanted the trunk shaved with no emblems or lights. So I dropped everything off at the body shop last week after picking up a spare trunk lid. I'm not going to lie, it's looks pretty damn good wingless.Oh and FYI I'm a bmxer so I had to...More updates coming soon. Mods can move this to the project section if they wish. This weekend I put it up on the lift at a friends shop and changed the oil. I also bought some 03/04 cobra front Bilsteins, some MM front control arm bushings and dust covers for the rears.I should probably make a build thread but I'm too lazy.Soo clean! Sho Amo
Finally got myself a garage, I mean, house! First time working in my garage on the cobra. I put some UPR cobra smoked headlights on it. I'll be putting my front Bilsteins on pretty soon then hopefully a day at the drag strip before doing some go fast parts. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/drewboi20/Cobra/7AF6F416-1533-4668-81B7-C105E31D48B2_zpsu3wbgc51.jpg[/IMG] http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/drewboi20/Cobra/8C18D810-9FFF-4403-9788-29DB4222F2EF_zpspig0zvwp.jpg[/IMG] Edited April 8, 2016 by Sho Amo

Sho Amo
Shes finally getting torn down! Over the last couple months the front main seal has been leaking worse and worse. Since it was finally time to change the oil I decided it was also time to start putting all his stuff in. I originally planned to get out to the drag strip an get a baseline time first, but that's not gonna happen. So onto the mods! My little work space... I started by draining the oil and changing the filter, then I got the crank bolt out with an old trick from my Taurus SHO days. When I changed jobs I sold all my tools so now I'm starting from scratch which mean I dont have a pulley puller. Waiting to borrow one from a friend so I started on everything else after getting the fan out. Took off the throttle body, intake, egr, and smog pump. Blocked off the egr and installed the smog delete pulley. A friend of mine has had a 94gt since high school and he always told me these smog pulleys were crap and it would toss the belt. So I got my straight edge out and checked the alignment. Its definitely off but maybe only a few MM. So im going to shave it down a bit and make it right. I cant for the life of me get these damn smog tubes out from behind the intake and under the car. Any recommendations? I also pulled the exhaust manifold. Throttle body is waiting to go in. You can also see the 'thermactor' plugs waiting to go in. Im going to use the penny trick for the egr cap. Free shit from work. Got these sr performance control arms for 125 on the holiday. Im planning to go IRS pretty soon but I figure for 125 they will hold me over a while. So Here's a list of whats going on. -BBK Ceramic Coated Unequal Length Shorty Headers *Using the penny trick to block the EGR -EGR Delete *Ebay plate -Smog Pump Delete *Thermactor plugs from AM pulley from UPR -Professional Products 70mm Throttle Body -New Front Main Seal -Moates Quarterhorse *Using Binary Editor -SR Performance Upper and Lower Rear Control Arms -New Driver Side Window Motor *Adding some sound deadening to door panel Thinking about changing the plugs while I'm here. I could also take a recommendation on that. @Det_Riot can you move this to the build ups section?

Prokiller
not a bad start to the list of mods. not always the most fun fixing stuff but if you can also throw on some nice parts while your at it, it makes it worth it.
Sho Amo
Headers are in. Finally fished the smog tubes out but I had to pull the upper intake which lead to me finding a stripped lower intake thread. Also got my crank pulley off and found the rubber coming apart. Good news is that a buddy of mine has an extra wideband he sold to me for 150 still brand new wrapped up in the box!

Sho Amo
Things are finally starting to go back together! I blocked off the EGR port with the ole penny trick. How tight do you guys go with this thing? My OCD forces me to put the penny heads up lol. And facing the fender... I struggled with the dipstick tube for a while last night. Could not get that bitch to go in the hole. This pic was not while trying to do so, I have the stick out of the tube while installing. This... Did this... So I ordered a new Ford Racing damper. Crack kills. Not shown: I got an Innovative LC1 from a friend for 150 bucks so thats going in. Then I was over at my buddies garage and found a boost gauge from an old project which is exactly the one I was going to order! I also installed a new window motor and Im still in the process of adding some sound deadening. Boost gauge came from this...

Sho Amo
So I got the car back up and running sunday. Im getting a hanging idle from what I believe is a TPS issue. Heres some silly pics from the quarterhorse install. When I first started it up the motor was sitting at about 2200rpm. This throttle body I put on I had gotten used from someone, so I readjusted the throttle stop and it settled down. Now once its warmed up im getting a CEL and handing idle at around 2k. The CEL came back with 2 codes, EGR and TPS. I think the TPS needs to be adjusted and Ill have to figure out why theres still a EGR code even though its turned off in the tune.
