My 01 has been down since August and I have no interest in fixing it. After some talking with the wife she told me to get something I really want. What I really want is a Mystichrome. It's supposed to have a Bama tune, but since I've been tuning my car since 2007 that'll change shortly after I swap the catted X and Stingers on. I've swapped my catted X and Stingers on. Sounds friggin awesome. Meanie helped me swap out all the IRS bushings. That was a long day/night, but made a world of difference in handling. I swapped in my level 5 half shafts and FR500's. The steering rack bushings were replaced with MM aluminum bushings. The old ones were ok, but since it was going in for an alignment I figured why not. It now has 3 coats of wax on Those are from a trip to Az last weekend for a show. The car is currently at the body shop. I was rear ended the day before my birthday. His insurance is covering the bumper replacement. I figured while it was there I'd have them take care of the faded wing and spider web cracks in the decklid. Before: I'll post afters when I pick it up. But then another buddy has a white. 03 with no issues. So I'm not 100% sure of the cause. But now the paint will have a warranty. I had an 01. It went off to a new home a couple weeks ago. I thought about snagging the ambers, but couldn't do that to the new owner.Thanks guys. I've had the car about a month and already put a couple thousand miles on it. The place that replaced the top on my wife's vert fixed it for $150.The car is still at the paint shop. They're having issues blending the paint. I'm hoping to get it back next week.We went to the Havasu Classic. It's geared more towards older cars. But the three of us still got a lot of looks. Since TMI is running low on mystichrome leather I ordered a set of seat covers to keep just in case. It's weird to have to plan like that for a car. Judging by some of the reactions it might be the only one too.While I had the system drained I went ahead and swapped out the heat exchanger. It's an LFP dual pass.
