Figured out a spot for this monster

post-55-0-27975200-1436188035_thumb.jpg

Not the most conventional spot but its out of the way and also helped eluminate the lower rad hose from the bay inturn cleaning it up that much more.

Got about 95% of the plumbing finished up waiting on a couple of fittings for the blower oil feed line and upper rad hose. The heater core will have to wait till I pull the dash and get some AN fittings on the core. I can tell you this im pretty tired of buying fittings and making lines.post-55-0-47024400-1436188742_thumb.jpgpost-55-0-17086200-1436188850_thumb.jpg

Wound up going with a big boy 8"renegade pulley so had to strip her down and polish her up.

Also started wiring the bay this weekend and wasnt looking forward to it until I realized the only wires i had to run were for the alt and oil presure guage so Im basically done in the bay just have to loom the wires this week when my order comes in. Seems as though I will be doing final assembly when I get back from MW, then its onto the only thing remaining. ... interior work, yay me i may actually make it to the dyno before the snow hits lol

Without a doubt nothing sexier than a bay full of polished fittings, i get a chubby every time I look at it lol.

Nice shoes! Sent from Space

Glad you like them steve, there pretty comfortable, might buy a new pair for MW lol. Just wanted something to give you a reference to how monsterous the renegade pulley actually is.

IIRC this was supposed to be done for MW 2k13  :P  ;)

hahah yeah well when it takes 7 months for a motor to be built, another 6 months for a custom trans to be built, 5 months for wheels to be made. Multiple mock ups on every piece that goes into the car, $40,000 worth of cash, things start to move slower than anticipated lol. But don't worry steve the final product will not disappoint you, you have my word.

Nice little addition on the renegade pulley is the threaded holes for a blower brace plate.

Gorgeous engine bay. Those AN lines look so good and I love the black over the colored.

I better see this in person at some event, any event! MW.. Carlisle.. AM.. you name it.

Thank you sir. and yes the car will go back on tour just like before I yanked her off the road. Carlisle, MW, Dream cruise, NMRA yada yada.. It pains me not being able to attend shows as before she was off the road It would be at an event every week of the year. I think Tom and I may have set the record in 09 for most shows ever attended lol. Be patient she will be back out

Thanks 410, Havent figured out what the threaded holes are for but It is possible they are for a brace. Didn't plan on running one being Im using a renegade bracket already but It could be a possibility.

The holes are for the mounting plate with the pilot.  It bolts to the front of the pulley.  Even with the renegade brackets the #1 crank and supercharger bearings take a beating with a blower.  The brace can help alleviate a lot of that.

My only problem with the brace is clearance. Even with the recessed rad its going to be tight. I have to get the shroud on and see what ive got.

Definitely a tight fit.  I am running sn95 brackets/timing cover and motor moved back 1in.  Stock rad location/stock fan.  I have maybe 1/8in between fan and arbor bolt.

I did datalog bracket flex (belt slip) before and after.  The brace works at high tension.  I generally run 90 ft/lb with the belt.
